BT SPORT STUDIO | LONDON, ENGLAND
BACKSTAGE CORRESPONDENTS ~ JOANNA ROSE AND SIMON MILLER
COMMENTARY TEAM ~ JOHN GOODEN AND WADE BARRETT
RING ANNOUNCER ~ ANDY SHEPHERD
giphy.gif
Our show opens with a video package which details the events of the previous weeks show. This begins with the Welsh Dragons winning the elimination series before we then see the destructive in ring debuts of Blair Davenport and Rezar. After this we'd see the Selfish Generation overwhelming Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate before finally the video would focus on Tegan Nox's farewell to the WWE UK brand. With that this week's show would officially open from inside the BT Sport studio before a lively audience. Our commentary team of Wade Barrett and John Gooden would hype up the crowd before sending us to ring for our first contest.
MATCH 1: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Darryl Sharma)

TOMMY BILLINGTON VS. STEVEN REGAL W/NIGEL MCGUINNESS

To open up the show we'd see two generational talents do battle as Steven Regal took on Tommy Billington. This bout between two rising young prospects would see a clash of styles as Steven Regal looked to ground and dissect his much faster and high flying opponent. A short back and forth bout with some real spirited moments from Tommy Billington we'd see the young Tommy come close to an upset following a diving hurricanrana on Regal. A big counter by Steven however would be the difference maker as he was able to counter a hurricanrana attempt with a slingshot powerbomb before he'd land a running knee trembler to the side of Tommy's head for the three.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Steven Regal!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Nigel McGuinness rolls into the ring. Quickly Nigel raises Steven's arm in the air while the official tends to Tommy. Walking out on the stage would be the WWE UK European Champion Gunther who nodded his head impressed with what he'd seen.
~DUNGEON BORN ~

A pretaped vignette then plays and it focuses on Harry Smith training at the Hart Dungeon. This is all under the watchful eye of Tyson Kidd, Natalya and Bret Hart. Training in the ring with Harry is Brian Pillman Jr while Bret has them run several drills. As the duo take a breather, Bret talks with his nephew and says to Harry that his father would be proud of the man he has become. Saying he is proud of Harry looking to forge his own identity, Bret further goes on to say that he admires Harry for saying enough is enough to Gunther and the disrespect he was showing the belt his father made famous. With that Bret wishes his nephew the best come Showcase X.
~ RETENTION ~

The cameras then take us to the locker room area where Aussie Open are standing by. Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis are holding their titles proudly while Fletcher loudly boasts that they are the greatest tag team in wrestling today. Turning their focus onto their title defense at the UK Showcase Event, Mark Davis says that they have a lot of respect for the Welsh Dragons. Calling them a worthy tag team to face at the Showcase, Aussie Open closes this promo by saying that despite that respect they know the result at Showcase X will be no different than their other defenses.
MATCH #2: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Tate Mayfairs)

REZAR VS. JACK BANDICOOT

The second bout of the night would see Rezar in his second match as part of the WWE UK Brand against Jack Bandicoot. Similar to his first match with this brand, this bout was a vicious and powerful showcase for Rezar. Throwing Jack all across the ring, Rezar seemingly had this bout won from the very first powerful clothesline he landed onto Bandicoot. After a vicious overhead choke suplex which launched Bandicoot across the ring, Rezar would then deadlift Bandicoot from the canvas and into the air before hitting a thrust spinebuster for the win.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Rezar!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and yet despite the win once again just like last week Rezar would snatch his opponent by the throat and hoist him in the air before gorilla pressing him out of the ring for a nasty spill. The official would rush to tend on Jack while Rezar stormed to the back.
~ FADE ~

The cameras then rush to a commotion backstage where a brawl is taking place between Aleister Black and Finn Balor in the parking lot. With Balor on offense following a headbutt and a vicious series of forearms which back Black against a pick up truck. Several guards rush onto the scene only to be thrown aside by Balor, this interception however allows Aleister Black to spit a black mist right in the eyes of Finn Balor. With Balor blinded from this mist, Black follows up with a black mass kick right to the jaw knocking Balor out! With Balor down, Black calmly sits beside Balor as more security and officials rush onto the scene.
~ NEW BEGINNINGS ~

From here the cameras divert to the locker room where Ashton Smith and Oro Mensah are standing by. With their match against Ensanglante set to take part next week, this duo talk about their upcoming match. As they talk about the match it is clear that these two are polar opposites with a vengeful Ashton Smith fully focused on the task at hand while a more distracted Mensah is focused on the after party. This doesn't sit well with Ashton who tells him to focus on the match and worry about all that stuff after before he storms out of the locker room.
MATCH #3: TAG TEAM MATCH
(Referee: Oscar Harding)

TEAM WHITEWOLF VS. AMIR JORDAN AND TUCKER

Tag team action would be the next port of call for the evening as Team Whitewolf took on the pair of Amir Jordan and Tucker. This would be a fast paced tag team match with both teams soaring all across the ring much to the delight of the fans in attendance. Looking to put their differences aside Carlos Romo and Axiom really seemed to get on the same page in this bout as they banded together with some impressive double team moves. This culminated with a total elimination combination on Tucker which was enough for Axiom and Romo to win.

Shepherd: And the winners of the match team Whitewolf!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made and Carlos Romo takes a knee in the ring. Joined by Axiom this pair have their arms raised in the air before shaking hands and hugging one another.
~ REVENGE ~

The cameras then return us to the hall, here we see Giovanni Vinci is standing by with Joanna Rose. As Vinci begins to discuss his match with Michael Oku at Showcase X, he is surprised by the arrival of Amira. Saying that despite Vinci's efforts he cannot keep her down and that she will be ringside to watch Oku beat him at Showcase x. Amira then surprisingly follows up with a hard slap to the face of Vinci, this infuriates Vinci who chases her down the hall towards the locker room. But as he nears the locker room a chair is thrown at him by Michael Oku! Vinci hits the ground with a thud while Amira smiles, as Vinci rolls onto his stomach and takes a knee, Oku lands a big superkick knocking Vinci to the ground once more before walking down the hall.
~ POISON PICKER ~

From here we are directed to the General Manager's office where Millie McKenzie is standing by. Being put in charge of the pick your poison challenge this week, Millie is all smiles as she says that in the first of three matches tonight, Pete Dunne will face a former foe in Doug Williams. After that Millie happily confirms that in a first ever meeting which will be a treat for the fans Tyler Bate will take on Adam Brooks. Finally when it came to Trent Seven, Millie would smile even more as she says that tonight Trent Seven will compete in the very first fans revenge lumberjack match where select members of the crowd would be armed with leather straps and his opponent would be... Millie McKenzie!
MATCH #4: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Chris Hatch)

NATHAN CRUZ W/KATHERINE DARCY AND CURT HAWKINS VS. JAY JOSHUA

The fourth bout of the night would see Nathan Cruz looking to right the ship of his career as he took on the bruising Jay Joshua. It would seem in the early going that Nathan Cruz had underestimated his opponent as Joshua would not only clobber Cruz with some heavy shots but also throw Cruz across the canvas on several occasions. Looking to aid Cruz we'd see Hawkins climb onto the apron to provide a distraction but he'd be swiftly knocked off, this distraction however would pay dividends as Cruz managed to connect with a big superkick to the jaw of Joshua. With Joshua stunned, Cruz followed up with a leaping reverse STO for the win.

Shepherd: and the winner of the match Nathan Cruz!

The crowd jeers as the announcement is made and Nathan Cruz rises to his feet. With a smug smirk on his face, Cruz has his arm raised in the air while Katherine and Hawkins applaud him.
~ ACE HIGH ~

The screens then play pre show footage from earlier today as we see a confrontation which took place between the Foreign Legion and the Smoking Aces. Speaking for his team Ludwig Kaiser makes it clear that the Foreign Legion holds the Smoking Aces fully responsible for Amale's injury. In response to this, the Aces are unapologetic and instead mock the Legion for not being tough enough to be in the business. In response to this, the Legion challenge the Aces to a tag match for next week which Danny Burch accepts on behalf of his team.
~ FIRST IMPRESSION ~

Following his defeat earlier in the night Tommy Billington is making his leave from the building. As he walks through the hall however, he is surprised by the arrival of Nigel McGuiness. Seeking to put Tommy at ease, Nigel says that he wanted to tell Tommy that they was impressed with his efforts tonight against Regal. This is why the Ring General wants to offer him an opportunity next week. Billington appears hesitant when Nigel in turn offers him a title match with Gunther for the WWE European Championship for next week. Without hesitating Tommy accepts this challenge.
MATCH #5: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Giulia Luchessi)

PETE DUNNE VS. DOUG WILLIAMS

Match one of three Pick your poison matches would be the next port of call. In a clash of old adversaries Pete Dunne would take on UK wrestling icon Doug Williams. Unlike their previous battles, this battle would get off to a more respectful start. In a bout which featured a lot of chain wrestling and submission holds, we'd see both men put one another in a variety of holds. With this contest turning into a chess match it would be one well timed counter by Dunne who managed to clamp on a kimura hold for a submission.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Pete Dunne!

Releasing the hold, Pete Dunne would pop to his feet to a loud cheer from the crowd. After getting his arm raised by the official, Dunne would walk over to Doug Williams who was seated in the corner. In a surprising show of respect Dunne would help Doug to his feet before the two would shake hands.
~ WEAKNESS ~

A pre taped promo then plays focusing on Stevie Turner. Filled with flashing lights and futuristic music, this promo would have the arrogant Turner boast proudly about being undefeated since coming to WWE UK. Saying that her scanner has shown her not just the power levels of everyone she has encountered so far but also their weaknesses. Stevie says that it is clear to her that there is not a woman on this roster so far that is even close to her level. Saying she is a woman of her word, Turner makes it clear that she will prove this fact next week when she beats Santana Garrett.
~ NOT THIS ~

The cameras then take us to the hallway of the building where Laura Di Matteo is walking towards the locker room. As she does so, Laura makes a beeline and approaches Mercedez Blaze. Blaze stares at Laura coldly as Laura begins to talk about Blaze and Kanji's match next week. Remarking that this is not what she wanted at all from Blaze and Kanji, Laura says all she can hope is with this match between the pair that they hope the duo can put their differences aside and be on the same page. In response to this Blaze shakes her head and walks off down the hall.
MATCH #6: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Sandy Beeches)

TYLER BATE VS. ADAM BROOKS

The second pick your poison bout would be up next and we'd see a first time clash between Tyler Bate and Adam Brooks. This bout would be a spirited, fast paced clash with both Bate and Brooks flying across the ring. During this contest both men would have their moments, including Brooks busting out a Dudley dog for a very close near fall. Following several minutes of back and forth action, we would see Tyler Bate manage to pick up the victory following a big punch to the jaw which stunned Adam and allowed him to connect with the Tyler Driver for the three.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Tyler Bate!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made and Tyler Bate climbs to his feet in the ring. As Bate gets his arm raised in the air we see a dejected Brooks roll out to the floor.
~ UNIONIZE ~

Having heard the news of his match for later this evening, a visibly frustrated Trent Seven walks through the hall. As he does so Seven comes to a stop when he sees the Selfish Generation walking through the building. Seeking to recruit the group to his side, Seven calls their work last week tremendous and makes it clear that united they can achieve a lot more as long as they have his back tonight. In response to this Zack Gibson on behalf of the group makes it clear that the Selfish Generation don't need to make deals to get opportunities, that take what they want and what they don't want is to be subservient to a leech like Seven.
~ POTENTIAL ~

Fresh off his victory this evening Nathan Cruz walks through the hall towards his locker room. As he does so he is surprised however by the appearance of Spike Trivet. The WWE UK Champion does not seem particularly impressed as he says that Cruz's win tonight is nothing to be proud of. Asking what Spike wants from him, Nathan watches on as Spike says there is nothing more frustrating then a waste of potential. With that the WWE UK Champion walks off down the hall while Nathan Cruz watches on and shakes his head.
MATCH #7: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Artemis Ortygie)

BLAIR DAVENPORT VS. CHANTAL JORDAN

The seventh bout of the night would be Blair Davenport's second singles match as part of the roster. Taking on a young prospect in Chantal Jordan, this bout once more would be a dominant showcase for Davenport who once again proved herself to not just be a dangerous competitor but also a highly sadistic one. Showing her willingness to dissect her opponents and target one limb after another, we'd see at one stage Davenport hit a vicious rope hung Dragon Screw which did a lot of damage to Jordan. It wouldn't be long after that Davenport finished this match with a Kamigoye knee strike.

Shepherd: and the winner of the match Blair Davenport!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and yet once again despite being victorious Davenport is not done. Pouncing on Jordan with a series of elbow strikes, Davenport backs up and begins to line up Jordan for a stomp. However before Davenport can do this, Mariah May hits the ring! To cheers from the crowd May connects with several punches to Davenport and a big forearm strike which sends Davenport stumbling to the floor. A livid Davenport backs up the ramp while May waves her on.
~ DRAGONS ~

The cameras then take us to the locker room area where Ilja Dragunov is standing by. Dragunov is a humble but confident figure as he talks about his bout with Kassius Ohno at Showcase X. Saying this is a match he has long coveted as he knows Ohno's skill and capabilities. Calling this the kind of fight with honor he has truly longed for, Ilja Dragunov makes it clear that this bout will bring the best out of him and he is confident that following this battle he will leave Showcase X as the brand new Commonwealth Champion.
~ MY MOMENT ~

A special backstage interview is then played and it features Joanna Rose standing by along with Simon Miller. Miller is overjoyed and unable to contain his excitement at competing as part of the Worlds Collide Gauntlet match. Saying that he is a lifelong fan of the business who is living proof about how you are never too old to achieve your dreams. Admitting that he knows he is a major underdog in this bout, however this only spurs him on and now he will enter the worlds collide gauntlet match knowing that he has nothing to lose and everything to gain!
MATCH #8: FANS REVENGE MATCH
(Referee: Chris Sharpe)

TRENT SEVEN VS. MILLIE MCKENZIE

The next match would be the third and final Pick your Poison match as Trent Seven battled former stablemate Millie McKenzie in a lumberjack match where several fans were positioned at ringside with leather straps. Despite having a size advantage we'd see quickly Trent would be caught off guard by an aggressive Millie. This would cause Seven to dip out the ring only to be lashed by several of the fans. This would be the story of the bout as when Millie left the ring she wasn't hit once but it seemed everyone was longing to take a piece of Seven. As the bout wore on we'd see Seven try and steal a belt from one of the fans at ringside. While the official tried to break this up Millie would look to hit a German suplex on Trent only for him to throw her into the ring post. From here Seven rolled up McKenzie with a handful of tights and feet on the bottom rope for good measure to steal the win.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Trent Seven!

The crowd erupts into boos as the announcement is made and a smirking Seven rolls out to the floor. While Seven celebrates his win at ringside, in the ring a livid Millie McKenzie rolls to her knees and shouts to him that this isn't over.
~ WISH GRANTED ~

Ahead of the main event, our cameras show Anthony Ogogo in his office prepping things for the WWE UK Championship contract signing. As he continues his work, Ogogo is surprised when walking into his office is Mariah May. May is fired up still from her earlier exchange with Blair Davenport earlier this evening, saying to Ogogo that something needs to be done about Davenport. Ogogo nods his head admitting that even he has been disgusted by her antics since coming to the WWE UK Brand. May then follows by demanding a match with her next week, in response to this Ogogo nods his head and grants her the match for next week.

MAIN EVENT: BRITISH BULLDOG TAG TEAM CLASSIC
(Senior Official: THOMAS SCARBOROUGH)

MAFIA BELLA (GIULIA AND THEKLA) VS. THE HOUSE OF COUTURE (LANA AUSTIN AND NINA SAMUELS) W/ELIZA ALEXANDER

For the main event of the evening we would see our second British Bulldog Tag Team Classic semi final match as Mafia Bella took on the House of Couture. This would be a match of two halves as in the early going we had a fairly even back and forth tag team match. Yet as the bout wore on we saw Thekla's submission ability as well as Giulia's striking begin to make a difference. In response to this, The House of Couture would begin to take more short cuts and cheap shots when and if they could. This would prove a difference maker as Eliza Alexander struck Giulia with a bicycle knee from behind. This in turn would allow Lana Austin and Nina Samuels to finish Thekla with the touch of couture (gory bomb/diving cutter) combination.

Shepherd: And the winners of the match The House of Couture!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and the House of Couture begin to celebrate their victory. As the duo of Nina and Lana stand tall in the ring, they are soon joined by Eliza Alexander who raises their arm proud in victory to more jeers.
~ SIGNING ~

The cameras then take us to the General Manager's office for the contract signing of the WWE UK Championship match. With security in the room and Anthony Ogogo watching everything over we see this closed door affair only have Spike Trivet and Joe Hendry in the room also. Their eyes locked on one another and neither man is saying a word in what is uncharacteristic for the pair. After signing the contract first the champion storms out of the GM's office swinging the door wide open as he does so. An unimpressed Joe shakes his head and proceeds to do the same before turning to Ogogo. With a majority of the security escorting Spike out the room, Hendry shakes hands with Ogogo who nods to excuse the remaining guards. Hendry then goes to leave the room but on opening the door he is tackled by Ridge Holland. Before a stunned Ogogo can react Holland tries for a powerbomb on the office floor on Joe but Joe pops out and instead drives Holland through Ogogo's desk with a Hendry Bottom! The Show then comes to a close with Joe standing over Holland telling him he is coming for his boss.

WWE UK NEXT SHOW PREVIEW
TORNADO TAG TEAM MATCH

SUGE D AND CHARLES CROWLEY VS. SANITY (ALEXANDER WOLFE AND KILLIAN DAIN)

A tag team grudge match has been set for this week between two teams of polar opposites. On one side you have the fun loving and dancing paring of Suge D and Charles Crowley. While opposing them is the rough, rugged pairing of Sanity. This bout has come about following the upset of Sanity being eliminated from the Elimination Series by and Crowley leading to them setting their sights on the pair with a vicious assault. Now this week these teams have a chance to put aside their differences in a tornado tag team match!
TAG TEAM STREET FIGHT

ASHTON SMITH AND ORO MENSAH VS. ENSANGLANTE (BOBBY GUNNS AND TEOMAN)

Another tag team grudge match will take place on this coming week's show and it will be a tag team street fight. This will see Ashton Smith finally get to face off with the Ensanglante pairing of Bobby Gunns and Teoman. But he will not be alone to face off with this duo as he will be joined by Oro Mensah. This pair of polar opposites have never teamed together before but will need to be on the same page as they face this vicious pairing of Gunns and Teoman have not been beaten since uniting in WWE UK. What will happen in this clash of teams?
KANJI VS. MERCEDEZ BLAZE

In singles action this coming week, we will see Kanji face off with Mercedez Blaze. These are two women who as we know trained at the WWE UK performance center together and have been mentored by Laura Di Matteo. Yet according to reports there was never a friendship or bond between this pair and it has been seen from their interactions on the show. Now this week after months of one upmanship and lack of solidarity we will see a first time clash between Kanji and Mercedez Blaze.
STEVIE TURNER VS. SANTANA GARRETT

Since she made her debut to WWE UK, Stevie Turner has proven herself to be one of the women's divisions most talented competitors. Yet at the same time the so called the dimensional superstar has rubbed many the wrong way with her antics, attitude and in ring tactics. One name she has in particular rubbed wrong is veteran Santana Garrett. Garrett of course is an independent staple who has competed everywhere and is someone worthy of respect. Yet from Turner she has been given anything but and dismissed at every turn. Will Garrett be able to beat some respect into Turner?
FOREIGN LEGION (LUDWIG KAISER AND FRANCESCO AKIRA) VS. THE SMOKING ACES (CHARLIE STERLING AND NICK RILEY)

Another tag clash has been lined for this week as a part of the fall out from the Elimination series. As we will see a clash between the Foreign Legion and the Smoking Aces. While the Legion have been stalwarts of the WWE UK brand, the Smoking Aces are a new tag team on the block who are of course mentored by the highly outspoken Danny Burch. During the series we'd see both teams have several personality clashes and battles especially following an injury suffered to foreign legion member Amale. Now this week we will see these two teams battle once more for supremacy.
EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

GUNTHER (C) VS. TOMMY BILLINGTON

A European championship match has also been scheduled for this coming week as Gunther will face UK developmental prospect Tommy Billington. The young Billington of course is a trainee of the Hart family and a relative of the fabled Dynamite Kid. The reason for this match is down to a challenge put down by Gunther who claimed to be impressed with Billington's recent match with Steven Regal. Yet many believe Gunther has put this match together in an effort to send a message to Harry Smith. Can Billington pull off the upset?
MARIAH MAY VS. BLAIR DAVENPORT

A very personal singles match has also been added to this week's card. The match will see recent arrival Blair Davenport take on Mariah May. May of course requested this bout having returned to the brand following a vicious attack by Davenport which put her out for a few weeks. Since her arrival to the brand, actions like this have been standard fare for Davenport who has seemingly taken a sadistic delight in not just winning her matches but outright injuring her opponent. Now facing perhaps her toughest opponent yet, how will Davenport fare?
REZAR VS. MARK TREW

Since the announcement of his signing a few weeks ago to the brand, many eyes have been on former WWE and NXT tag team champion Rezar. Originally noted as a tag team specialist, the Albanian psycho has used the WWE UK brand to make his run as a singles competitor. So far unbeaten in two matches against local talents, Rezar has shown himself to be a dominant and destructive force in the ring. Now this week we will see Rezar compete once more in his third match with the brand. Will we see another dominating performance here?

EPISODE #163 | 12/12/20
EPILOGUE

BT SPORT STUDIO | LONDON, ENGLAND
BACKSTAGE CORRESPONDENTS ~ JOANNA ROSE AND SIMON MILLER
COMMENTARY TEAM ~ JOHN GOODEN AND WADE BARRETT
RING ANNOUNCER ~ ANDY SHEPHERD
giphy.gif
Our show opens with a video package which details the events of the previous weeks show. This starts out with flashes of the Pick Your Poison matches which saw Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate and Trent Seven all be victorious. From here we'd move to the British Bulldog Tag Team classic semi final where The House of Couture upset Mafia Bella. The video package would then close with the Joe Hendry/Spike Trivet contract signing before this week's show would officially open up. After welcoming us both John Gooden and Wade Barrett would send us to ringside for our opening contest.
MATCH #1: BRITISH BULLDOG TAG TEAM CLASSIC
(Referee: Artemis Ortygie)

HOUSE OF COUTURE (LANA AUSTIN AND NINA SAMUELS) VS. CANDY FLOSS AND XIA BROOKSIDE

Opening the show tonight would be the finals of the WWE BRITISH BULLDOG TAG TEAM CLASSIC. This bout would see The House of Couture take on Candy Floss and Xia Brookside. With Sasha Banks and Bayley on guest commentary for the bout, we would see a very back and forth contest between the two teams. It would be announced on commentary that Eliza Alexander was banned from ringside for the bout. This would be a very back and forth contest with both teams having their moments to shine and coming close to picking up the victory. As the match reached the 15 minute mark, we'd be given the five minute warning prompt. Both teams in turn would up the aggression and begin to take some big risks. This would include Nina Samuels hitting a big dive to the floor on Candy Floss as well as Xia Brookside busting out a Brookside Bomb to nearly put away Lana Austin. In the end however the match would reach the 20 minute time limit without a victor crowned.

Shepherd: This match has been declared a time limit draw.

The crowd cannot help but boo as the announcement is made. Chants of five more minutes begin to echo out as Xia and Candy Floss try and rally the crowd. At ringiside meanwhile Nina and Lana angrily storm to the back.
~ PREVIEW ~

The cameras then direct us to the hallway of the building where Nigel McGuinness is standing by. Nigel is calm and composed as he talks about his client Gunther's match tonight against Tommy Billington. Calling tonight's bout as a symbolism of the charity of which the Ring General is capable of. Saying that Tommy is someone who Nigel can confidently call a future one to watch. Nigel calls this bout a preview for European Wrestling and it's future but he also calls this contest a further preview, a preview of things to come for Harry Smith at Showcase X.
~ MUSICAL ~

Ahead of the next bout of the evening, the cameras take us to the locker room where Spike Trivet is standing by. The WWE UK Champion appears to be stressed as he reveals that tonight he will show the WWE UK what true music is. As he has drafted in an orchestra to have a classical concert tonight as opposed to that rubbish Joe Hendry has been playing. Joined by Ridge Holland, Spike informs Holland that he will need to withdraw from the Worlds Collide Gauntlet match as after what happened last week. He cannot afford to have Holland's focuses anywhere else.
MATCH #2: SINGLES MATCH
(Referee: Katie Walker)

STEVIE TUNER VS. SANTANA GARRETT

The second bout of the night would be a grudge match in the women's division as Stevie Turner took on veteran Santana Garrett. Despite Turner's boastful statements before the bout, this contest in the early going was all Santana Garrett as not only did Garrett manage to throw Turner across the canvas at points but she'd also wobble her with some strikes. The big difference maker in this bout would be Turner rolling out of the ring following a dropkick by Garrett as from here she'd manage to cheap shot her way back into the bout. Despite this Garrett would continue her offense until Turner hooked her for a roll up with her feet on the bottom rope for the assist!

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Stevie Turner!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Stevie Turner climbs to her feet. Rolling out to the floor as a livid Garrett takes a knee, Turner smirks arrogantly as she backs her way up the ramp.
~ WARNING ~

The cameras then take us to the hallway of the building. Here Harry Smith is standing by with Tommy Billington. Wanting to talk with Tommy about tonight, Harry apologizes for not being there last week when Nigel reached out to him. Saying he wants what is best for Tommy in this match, Harry warns him to be careful as he wouldn't put it past Gunther to try something tonight. Offering to be in Tommy's corner and have his back. Harry nods his head out of respect when Tommy calls this the biggest match of his career and that he needs to do this alone.
~ ROAR ~

A pre taped promo is then played and it features the Welsh Dragons. Standing in front of a Showcase X poster we see both Mark Andrews and Morgan Webster. Talking about their tag team championship match at Showcase X, this duo says they know that they are out of their depth in many people's eyes come showcase X. Branding Aussie Open as the greatest tag team in modern day who not only can match them in Speed when it comes to Fletcher but outmatch them in power with Davis. But the Dragons make it clear that they more than make up for this in heart.
MATCH #3: TORNADO TAG TEAM MATCH
(Referee: Chris Hatch)

SANITY VS. SUGE D AND CHARLES CROWLEY

Tornado tag team action was the next port of call for the evening as Alexander Wolfe and Killain Dain took on Suge D and Charles Crowley. This would very much be a brawl from the off with both teams legal in the ring. The brawl would very much play into the favor of Wolfe and Dain who greatly out muscled their opponents but as we'd see thanks to some veteran knowledge from Suge D both he and Crowley were able to counter with some unpredictable tactics. As the bout wore on we'd see the action leave the ring when Dain out of nowhere looked to risk it all with a running crossbody. This would backfire however as Suge D side stepped and Dain crashed through the barricade to the roar of the crowd. Taking advantage of this distraction, Crowley would then drive Wolfe into the canvas with Crowley's Carousel for the upset victory!

Shepherd: And the winners of the match Charles Crowley and Suge D!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made and Charles Crowley hops to his feet. Rushing into the ring, Suge D snatches his partner in a big hug while officials check on Dain at ringside.
~ BAPTIZED IN BLOOD ~

Ahead of his match tonight, Teoman is joined by his partner Bobby Gunns as the duo begin to talk about their tag team match. Teoman is all confidence as he says tonight is going to be all about the Ensanglante banding together and putting forth a dominant showcase. Calling Mensah and Smith a makeshift pairing who are not on the same page. Teoman calls himself and Bobby Gunns brothers and that their brotherhood will continue to prove and establish that when it comes to Ashton Smith, there is virtually no comparison.
~ DECISIONS ~

The cameras then take us to the office of "The Guvnor" Anthony Ogogo. Ogogo is joined in his office by the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Bayley and Sasha Banks. Thanking the pair for coming tonight to see the finals of the British Bulldog Tag Team Classic. Ogogo says he can only apologize for the chaotic ending to the tournament itself. Saying that he has a solution for this, Ogogo follows by revealing that at Showcase X Bayley and Sasha will defend their titles against both the House of Couture and Candy Floss and Xia Brookside in a triple threat tag team match.

MERCEDEZ BLAZE VS. KANJI

The next bout of the night would be another grudge match in the women's division as Mercedez Blaze would take on Kanji. With Laura Di Matteo watching on a screen backstage these two young prospects would collide in a back and forth spirited affair. The crowd for this bout would be solidly behind Kanji as this aggressive bout waged on and both women traded some heavy strikes. Blaze for her part at times would punish Kanji with her offense including a vicious rope hung swinging neckbreaker for a close near fall. In the end however it would be Kanji who picked up the win following a hidden Blade on Mercedez Blaze.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Kanji!

The crowd cheers as the announcement is made and Kanji rises to her feet. Rolling out to the floor Kanji is clearly feeling the effects of battle while in the ring the official checks on a frustrated Blaze.

Tyler Breeze and Fandango coming soon!
~ VOW ~

The cameras then bring us to the corridor of the building where Michael Oku and Amira are standing by with Joanna Rose. With his much anticipated bout with Giovanni Vinci only a couple of weeks away, Michael Oku says that the match cannot come soon enough. Saying that he knows people expect this match to be much more suited to Vinci and his skillset. Michael Oku makes it clear that he can fight and he can get gritty when the occasion calls for it and he will not hesitate in doing whatever he has to in order to finish the war that Vinci started!
MATCH #5: STREET FIGHT
(Referee: Darryl Sharma)

ENSANGLANTE (TEOMAN AND BOBBY GUNNS) VS. ASHTON SMITH AND ORO MENSAH

The next bout of the night would be a tag team street fight clash as the Ensanglante took on Ashton Smith and Oro Mensah. This would be a wild back and forth battle in which we'd see both teams have their moments. A hard hitting, plunder filled brawl we would see both teams take this fight all over the building. After several minutes of back and forth brawling we would see Teoman and Bobby Gunns drive Smith through a merch table with a double team spinebuster. With Smith laid out, it wouldn't be long after that the Ensanglante managed to finish off Mensah with a double team cut throat neck breaker.

Shepherd: and the winners of the match Ensanglante!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and the Ensanglante duo rise to their feet. Officials begin to check on the grounded Mensah as Teoman and Bobby Gunns raise their arms in the air.
~ FADING ~

A preataped promo then airs from an undisclosed location and it focuses on Aleister Black sat on a dark throne like chair. Wearing an all black suit with the only light in the room lit by a solitary candle, Aleister Black keeps his eyes firmly locked on the flame. Saying that the time is drawing near for him and Finn Balor to step into the ring. Aleister Black says that he enters this match with pride and with a smile on his face at a plan coming together. As he knows at Showcase X, the real Finn Balor will shine through and fade to black!
~ ROT ~

The cameras then cut to backstage and outside the medics office, here Laura Di Matteo is pacing back and forth until Mercedez Blaze walks out the office. Laura looks to console Blaze following her defeat however Blaze has no interest in talking or being consoled. Livid at her defeat, Blaze instead of accepting things humbly turns her attention on Laura. Blaming her for her loss as she accused Laura of always playing favorites when it came to her and Kanji. Laura's attempts to pacify things would only seem to anger Blaze who blasted her with a series of forearms knocking her to the ground before firing off a big kick to Di Matteo's ribs. A livid Blaze would then storm off as Di Matteo wheezed on the floor.

BLAIR DAVENPORT VS. MARIAH MAY

The next bout of the night would be a heated grudge match in the women's division as Blair Davenport took on Mariah May. This bout would be more akin to a fight as neither woman climbed the ropes or left the ring and instead just opted to punish one another as best they can. The big difference maker in this bout was Davenport's decision to target the knee of Mariah May because as the bout waged on we'd see May's compromised knee begin to play a difference. Like a true predator Davenport would hone in on this limb and after hitting a vicious knee breaker, she'd clamp on a knee bar to force a submission.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match Blair Davenport!

True to form Davenport does not let go of the submission right away and opts to crank on the hold once more. Finally releasing the hold, Davenport's arm is raised in the air. Before she can do anymore damage we see security enter the ring and block off her path to May.
~ CHANGE OF PLAN ~

Quickly the cameras then rush backstage to a loud commotion in the halls. We see various officials and medics rushing to the scene where a badly beaten Mark Trew is laying in the remnants of a catering table. Several members of security and various officials are holding back Rezar who keeps trying to push his way past to dole out more damage. Arriving onto the scene is a livid Anthony Ogogo. Barking at Rezar that this is not how business is conducted as part of the WWE UK Brand. Ogogo demands security kick him out of the building as his match tonight was cancelled.
MATCH #7: TAG TEAM MATCH
(Referee: Chris Roberts)

THE SMOKING ACES (CHARLIE STERLING AND NICK RILEY) W/DANNY BURCH VS. THE FOREIGN LEGION (FRANCESCO AKIRA AND LUDWIG KAISER)

Tag team action would be the next port of call of the evening as The Smoking Aces took on the Foreign Legion. This would be a very back and forth tag team match filled with some sharp technical wrestling as well as some aerial exploits. Filled with back and forth tag team action it appeared that the difference maker would be the presence of Danny Burch at ringside this would be until in a big surprise Amale returned and launched an attack on Burch to a loud pop. With Burch having to contend with Amale, the contest would continue to go back and forth until Ludwig Kaiser managed to roll up Sterling with a Oklahoma roll behind the refs back. At the same time Riley backdropped Akira over the ropes onto Amale and Burch and this allowed Riley to superkick Kaiser which led to Sterling rolling through with an oklahoma roll of his own for the win.

Shepherd: And the winners of the match The Smoking Aces!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Charlie Sterling hops to his feet. Quickly he is snatched in a hug by Nick Riley while Danny Burch rolls into the ring. At ringside a frustrated Amale and Akira begin to check on a groggy Kaiser while the Aces continue their celebration.
~ STRENGTH ~

Footage from earlier in the evening is then played and it shows Pete Dunne making his arrival to the building. As he does so, Dunne is surprised to come face to face with Tyler Bate. The pair despite their upcoming match are respectful with one another as they admit that they did not want things to go this far. However both then stop and agree that in this situation for them two it is just business. With that the pair shake hands before wishing one another luck ahead of Showcase X. Before they part ways the pair make it clear they will work together to get even with Seven.
MATCH #8: EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
(Senior Official: Thomas Scarborough)

GUNTHER (C) VS. TOMMY BILLINGTON

It was then time for the main event of the evening as Gunther defended his European title against young prospect Tommy Billington. This bout would see Billington in the early going have a little success using his speed against Gunther. This would be until Gunther finally got his hands on Billington and clobbered him with a vicious chop. With the wind knocked out of him, Billington would then be punished by Gunther for the rest of the match. A concerned Harry Smith would head down to the ring as Gunther kept beating him down. Despite Smith urging Billington to quit, the rookie would remain undaunted and Gunther would proceed to powerbomb him over and over again until the referee called a stop to the contest.

Shepherd: And the winner of the match and still champion Gunther!

The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Gunther stands tall in the ring. The Ring General holds is title in the air and stands over the downed Tommy while a concerned Smith checks on Billington.
~ SHOW STOLEN ~

Post show footage from last week is then played and it shows an interview conducted by Joanna Rose with Nathan Cruz. Cruz is tense and frustrated as he says he has to get a few things off of his chest. Saying he was once the hottest prospect on the UK Wrestling scene, Cruz says he is disgusted and disappointed with himself to have in his words faltered as part of the WWE UK Brand. In turn Cruz follows up by saying he can now see where he has faltered and he will look to course correct his career from this point onwards by any means necessary.

The crowd in attendance begins to boo loudly as classical music begins to echo throughout the arena. The audible confusion quickly turns to annoyance as we see a full brass orchestra begin to assemble around ringside. Dressed in immaculate black suits and formal attire, the musicians continue to play while standing around the ring. The camera then pans across the orchestra before eventually settling on the entrance stage where the WWE UK Champion Spike Trivet slowly emerges. Dressed in an expensive tailored suit and carrying the WWE UK Championship over his shoulder, Trivet as always is flanked by Ridge Holland. Once in the ring, Trivet takes a moment to soak in the hostility from the crowd before demanding a microphone. Once he has a microphone Spike Trivet loudly declares that the champion is gracing us with his presence tonight in an effort to instill some culture to the people in attendance. This draws more boos to the champion who comments that he understands why the people are upset as Culture is something completely foreign to the people in attendance tonight. Saying that while they spend their evenings watching reality television and stuffing their faces with cheap food. Spike Trivet instead chooses to spend his evenings appreciating the finest art, literature and music.

Looking round and marveling at the orchestra, Spike says that this orchestra represents everything he stands for. Excellence, sophistication and class. Saying that unlike Joe Hendry, he doesn't need catchphrases and comedy songs to entertain the masses. As the difference between Spike Trivet and Joe Hendry is that Spike Trivet is a champion! Raising the WWE UK Championship high into the air, Trivet says that Showcase X will be the night that Joe Hendry finally learns his place in this world and in the WWE UK Brand. Stating that Hendry's place is firmly beneath him and that after showcase X there will be no room for denial or excuses. As at Showcase X the dream will die and the world will stop believing. Announcing that the clock has officially struck midnight and today is the day the music died. Spike Trivet officially claims that the story of Joe Hendry has already been told and there will be no fairy tale ending!

The arena comes alive as
Joe Hendry's music blasts throughout the building. In the ring Spike totally freezes before he barks at Ridge Holland to stop him. Holland nods his head and rolls out of the ring before he furiously charges up the ramp. Reaching the stage, Holland tears through the curtain and into the gorilla position where various officials scramble to safety. While Holland threateningly screams at some production staff asking where Joe Hendry is, in the ring Spike Trivet regains his composure and begins to laugh. Calling this another one of Joe Hendry's little games. Trivet says maybe Joe is smarter than he gives him credit for to know not to show up tonight. Calling Joe pathetic and accusing him of hiding, Spike is in the middle of his speech when he is hit across the back with a trombone! As the champion collapses onto his hands and knees, the band member begins to remove his suit and then follows by removing his wig and fake beard. To roars of the crowd, this band member was revealed to be Joe Hendry! Before Trivet can recover, Joe Hendry drags him to his feet and drives him into the canvas with a Hendry slam! From here Hendry begins firing off some punches to the scrambling champion. Ridge Holland rushes down to the ring and he manages to pull Trivet to safety under the bottom rope. While Holland and Trivet back their way up the ramp, Joe Hendry talks with the Orchestra and after some convincing they join him and the crowd in a performance of I Believe in Joe Hendry. The final image of the show is of a livid Trivet being restrained by Ridge Holland while the crowd continue to serenade Hendry.
