Match Three: Good Brothers with AJ Styles VS The Usos
The likes of Karl Anderson and Jey Uso got things going for the next match of the night, the pair were fairly evenly matched in terms of in ring skill. However after some back and forth action, the former managed to tag in Luke Gallows. Who made his presence known by way of a Big Boot that floored Jey, Jimmy Uso would enter the match next and break up the attempted pinfall. Winners: Good Brothers

SaNiTy Segment

Eric Young proclaimed that come the Royal Rumble not only would the group have the Smackdown Tag Team Championship. But he would enter and be the last man standing in the men's Royal Rumble, whereas Nikki Cross would run unchecked against the women's division and emerge victorious in the women's

Cesaro admitted that they were taken aback by SaNiTy last week in the Championship Eliminator match, then Sheamus followed by stating that with the gold on the line it would be a different story.

Match 5: Rey Mysterio VS Andrade Cien Almas with Zelina Vega
Smackdown came to a close with a thrilling one on one match between Rey Mysterio and the ever egotistical Andrade Cien Almas. The latter of course had his victorious manager Zelina Vega with him at ringside, and she would repeatedly interfere on behalf of her client, the ref didn't see any of it. However, Mysterio was able to get the win following the 619.
Winner: Rey Mysterio
Post-Match

Daniel Bryan came through the crowed and levelled Mysterio from behind with a low blow and then followed it up with a Busaiku Knee once Mysterio attempted to regain his footing.

Braun Strowman/Drew McIntyre Interview
Cathy Kelley was on hand for a sit down interview of both WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman and his Royal Rumble opponent Drew McIntyre. It stayed calm for a few minutes only for the champion and challenger to get up and brawl with each other. Which resulted in them be dragged away from each other while they yelled at each other.

Match Four:
RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey VS Alexa Bliss (Natalya’s Choice- Non-Title)

Ronda Rousey had to come face to face with a ghost from her past in the form of Natalya's choice of opponent Alexa Bliss. In a non-title one on one singles encounter, the two women beat the shit out of each other and left nothing to chance, with the former eking out the victory.

Tuesday Night Smackdown – 22.1.19 - Rumble Go Home

Commentary: Byron Saxton & Tom Phillips
Interviews: Charlie Caruso
Ring Announcer: Greg Hamilton

Smackdown Women's Championship - Contract Signing
The go home show for the blue brand that being Tuesday Night Smackdown began with the contract signing for the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship encounter at the Royal Rumble. It was hosted by Paige and unlike majority of the previous contract signings in the company's history this one didn't end with someone going through a table.

Match One: AJ Styles with Good Brothers VS Samoa Joe
What a thrilling opening contest for the night a one on one outing between the "Phenomenal" AJ Styles and the "Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe. Given the well-known history between the pair of men, and their the combination of in ring skills, this was awesome. It came down to Styles attempting a Phenomenal Forearm only for him to be caught by Joe who planted him into the mat with an Uranage for the win.
Winner: Samoa Joe

Commercial

The "Empress of Tomorrow", Endures some Fire & Desire
Asuka was walking along backstage when she was set upon by both Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville who proceeded to beat on her. Naomi made herself known by charging and attacking both Rose and Deville leading to a two on two brawl which was eventually broken up.

Match Two: Luke Harper VS Noam Dar
Harper scored his second win in as many weeks, this time around he took on the "Scottish Supernova" Noam Dar who he easily dispatched.
Winner: Luke Harper

Commercial

Match Three: WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Asuka & Naomi VS Fire & Desire
It was mentioned on commentary that this tag team match came about as a direct result of the attack from earlier in the night. Naomi took the fight to Deville and fended off her opponent's attempts at taking her to the mat. Eventually Asuka and Rose made their respective ways into the match which resulted in the former trapping the latter in the Asuka Lock and she tapped out.
Winners: Asuka & Naomi

WWE Championship - Contract Signing
Like the show opening segment before it, this was another championship match contract signing segment hosted by Tuesday Night Smackdown General Manager Paige. However right after Rey Mysterio signed the contract he was ambushed by the band of psychopaths that being SaNiTy. Daniel Bryan then gloated over the fallen body of Mysterio and signed the contract.

Commercial

Match Five: Championship Eliminator
WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Bar VS Good Brothers

Smackdown closed with a championship eliminator match, this time around it was tag team action as the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Bar clashed with the Good Brothers. During it SaNiTy unintentionally caused a distraction merely by being present at ringside. Which allowed Karl Anderson to get the pinfall over Sheamus by way of a Spinebuster.
Winners: Good Brothers

Royal Rumble – Kickoff Show - 27.1.19

Commentary: Mauro Ranallo & Nigel McGuiness
Ring Announcer: Jojo Offerman

SaNiTy Theme
Eric Young led his tribe of lunatics down to the ring.

The Bar Theme
Soon followed by the reigning and defending WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions.

Match One: WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship
The Bar© VS SaNiTy with Eric Young & Nikki Cross

A vengeful Cesaro didn’t hesitate to take the fight to the very man who pinned him to earn this title shot, that being Alexander Wolfe. The referee had to step in and back the former off the latter at different points. On the second of one of these situations left the door open for a battered Wolfe to make the tag to Killian Dain. Eventually Cesaro was forced to make the tag to Sheamus after a vicious onslaught from Dain. The new arrival (Sheamus) took the fight to his countryman and proceeded to get the pinfall over him following a Brogue Kick.

Winners & Still WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions: The Bar

Rusev and Lana Promo

The cameras cut to the backstage area where the “Bulgarian Brute” delivered one more promo ahead of the four-way open challenge. With that warning taking the form that it didn’t matter who or how many men answer his challenge he would CRUSH them.

Lucha House Party Theme
Kalisto, Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado made their joint entrance.

The Revival Theme
Soon followed by the pair of Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson.

Bobby Roode & Chad Gable Theme
Finally, it was time for the reigning and defending WWE RAW Tag Team Champions to make their presence known.

Match 2: WWE RAW Tag Team Championship
Bobby Roode & Chad Gable© VS The Revival VS Lucha House Party w Kalisto
Chad Gable, Dash Wilder and Gran Metalik kicked things off for the triple threat encounter for the WWE RAW Tag Team Championship. The brawled amongst themselves for about five minutes, before both Wilder and Metalik tagged in Dawson and Dorado. Despite being the only participant not being able to make the tag to his teammate, Gable would proceed to level both Dawson and Dorado. Then took the chance to finally make the tag to a beyond ready Bobby Roode who dragged Dorado up and hit a Spinebuster. Then followed this up by doing the exact same thing to Dawson, then dragged him up and hit a Glorious DDT.
Winners & Still WWE RAW Tag Team Champions: Bobby Roode & Chad Gable

Post-Match

Roode and Gable celebrated their win and made their exit while LHP and The Revival attempted to recover themselves.

SaNiTy Segment
Once again the cameras cut to the backstage area where an irate Eric Young. Shouted himself hoarse at both Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain stating they had better make things right.

Andrade Cien Almas Theme
The first man to answer the open challenge for the WWE United States Championship. Was revealed to be the ever-egotistical Andrade Cien Almas who was accompanied by his manager Zelina Vega.

Luke Harper Theme
Soon followed by the second of three potential challengers that being Luke Harper.

Mustafa Ali Theme
Next it was time for the third and final of the trifecta of challengers to journey to the ring.

Rusev Theme
The final entrance was reserved for the defending champion, the “Bulgarian Brute” Rusev©.

Match Three: WWE United States Championship
Rusev© VS Mustafa Ali VS Luke Harper VS Andrade Cien Almas with Zelina Vega.
The Kickoff Show concluded with the four-way open challenge outing where the WWE United States Championship, was the ultimate prize. As can be expected the pair of the defending champion and Harper spent the majority of the match, throwing their smaller opponents around. Then the two behemoths proceeded to beat the shit out of each other, while Almas acted like an opportunist to interject himself into the situation when it benefited from it. Finally, this left the highflying Ali left to bounce around the squared circle in a master class of fast paced offense. The conclusion came about when Ali attempted and failed to hit a 450 Splash on Rusev who moved out of the way. Then got back to his feet and dragged the fallen Ali up and hit a Machka Kick which led to the pinfall.

Winner & Still WWE United States Champion: Rusev

Hey y'all just wanted to address something, I know I have referred to Becky Lynch as "The Man" previously in this project. I never really understood that nickname, so from now on she will no longer be "The Man" instead she will be referred to as the "Lass Kicker".

WWE.COM Exclusive
Tuesday Night Smackdown General Manager Paige, has revealed some unfortunate news ahead of the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble ppv event. That is that Lana has been ruled out of the match due to injury, as a result she will be on the shelf for the foreseeable future. No idea who will be replacing her in the women's Royal Rumble match at the current point in time.
