    I'd be perfectly happy with anyone not named Del Rio. Even Jericho, if the point is giving him one last run with the belt (though it would be kind of a waste). I'd be overjoyed with Owens, Zayn, or Cesaro.

    Of course it could, but that's always a risk wrestling companies take. Really, this is the best argument to build up lower-card talent so if/when the top guy(s) go down it isn't too difficult to slide someone else into the empty slot(s).

    Vince: "What the hell is this guy doing?! He's just talking about the match going on in the ring! Doesn't he know what announcers are for?!" So Cena or even crappier Cena. Goody. Heaven forbid they use this opportunity to push talent the fans clearly want to see (Styles, Cesaro, Owens, etc.)...

    That's how I always thought it should work. Hell, that's how I'm setting up my 2K16 Universe (though I'm using NXT instead of SmackDown).

    Some wrestlers are able to climb to ladder on gimmick alone, but once they reach the top at least some character comes out just due to the amount of exposure. Just curious, but who would you consider some of these all-gimmick wrestlers to be?

    I had no problem with the Adam Rose gimmick. The problem was that he was all gimmick, all the time. He needed to do more moves than just slap his opponent's ass, prance around, and then hit the party foul. If he would at some point stop the goofy act and actually start taking the match seriously...

    Wow! I didn't see this coming. It's too bad because Rhodes is a very talented worker. Hell, I even liked the Stardust gimmick, but it's like the writers got sick of it.
