Your Favorite Belt(s)?

Throughout the years, more-so in the past decade really, we've seen the WWF/E Championship belt change repeatedly.

I recall it starting with Stone Cold winning the classic Eagle Spread-Wing belt, which was redesigned after he captured it and the new belt was introduced on his shoulder the following night (blue leather, still eagle, but not spread-wing anymore). The Eagle Spread-Wing would eventually resurface in the WWF/E as the Hardcore Championship, smashed and broken . The Smoking Skull belt became his representative title during his championship reign(s).

Then we had that belt merged with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship belt, only to introduce the Undisputed Championship. That belt would eventually become recognized as the WWE Championship, and a smaller, refined version of the WCW strap would be introduced as the World Heavyweight Championship currently used today.

For the WWE Championship, guys are rumored to still be given the choice to tote the other strap, but now we've got John Cena's WWE Championship belt in rotation (spinner locked now).

What is your favorite belt of these, and could any of them resurface?




In my own personal opinion, the original WCW World Heavyweight Championship was the finest looking. It was bulky as hell, but something about it was just more spectacular than other championships.


I'd like to see the Eagle Belt resurface somehow.

I really don't get this thread. It seems like your bored and want something to talk about lol. The WCW/Near NWA Death World Heavyweight title seems to have a lot more luster then the other titles. So ummmm yeah that title would be better.

I loved seeing the eagle-spread belt around Michaels' waist and loved the way it looked however, it seems to look like a 90's belt if that makes sense, I can't see it suiting this generation therefore, I don't think it'll come back. I also love the World Heavyweight Championship that they currently have, I think it looks really professional and suits to it's name. That being represented by the World's Champion is better than the toy on RAW.

I liked Cena's spinner belt when it 1st came out. It suited his gimmic well. They shouldn't be using it now, they should go back to either the old WWE belt before the Undisputed belt, or use the Undisputed belt. The only reason I see them still using Cena's design, is for merchandising perpases. (sp)

I LOVED the spinning US Championship. I was a huge Word Life John Cena fan and that belt suited him so well. He was the biggest superstar you can be at mid card level and that belt just emphasized his already stellar image. It was quite the belt. Plus it was the first of it's kind, it was different, and really gave Cena the attention he deserved.

I don't know if they keep changing the belt, but the World Heavyweight Title always has a different look no matter who holds it. When Triple H held it in 2003, the thing was enormous. HHH made that title look awesome. When HBK had it before the Game, I am not sure if it was indeed the actual WCW belt, but it was much smaller and look generally different. However, that belt will always hold a classic look. That's what is so great about that belt.

the eagle and the undisputed belt.........they looked like real world titles. the WHC looks like a real world title too but i dunno, too big and too bright. plus, i dont really like the design.

The Undisputed Belt is my favourite. I don't mind the Cena style belt, but it's far from one of my favourites. The two best, IMO, are the Undisputed one, and the World Heavyweight Championship.

The WWE Title looks alright when Cena or Edge hold it...anyone else it looks ridiculous on...especially HHH.... (and tell me they did not make that fuckin belt bigger for him)

I absolutely hated the Undisputed Title...I thought it was so uninspired and just quickly thrown together.

I suppose the World Heavyweight Title would be my favorite. It looks like a world title...just a big slab of gold with some jewels in it. But as XBA pointed out as well.... the variations in it's size and appearance in general over the past few years have been fuckin staggering. They have to have had at least 8 different belts. The current one Edge is holding looks very small and dull.

- winged eagle it looked perfect on Hbk and hart
- Undisputed great on leaner and Eddie
- spinner only for cena probley like 2005-2007ish
- World heavyweight perfect for Batista and HHH it looks like it was base just for them

The Spinner belts were the shiz I thought when I was in middle school.

But the Winged Eagle belts are imo the best looking. They really fit the people that were holding them in the mid-to late 90's.


Being that I am a huge Austin fan the Smoking Skull Belt is one of the coolest designs of all time.

But does anyone like the late 80's early 90's IC championship?

They aren't using Cena's belt right now. It doesn't spin.
