Some upcoming WWE Films projects include "Suckerpunch", a sequel to "12 Rounds", a remake of a Chuck Norris film "Missing in Action" and a "Scorpion King" sequel (separate from the release featuring former UFC Heavyweight Champion Randy Couture) that are all planned for straight-to-DVD releases.

As noted earlier here on the website, Variety.com has an article up looking at the strong ratings among males for WWE television on the USA Network, Sci Fi, MyNetworkTV and soon on WGN America with the forthcoming "WWE Superstars" show that begins in April. The article quotes WWE's VP of marketing Kevin Dunn who notes that WWE is working closely with Sci Fi executives to develop a rebranding plan for the weekly ECW program.

I wonder what that means? Could mean a new name (seems likely) or even making it an all divas brand, now that they have "WWE Superstars". I really have no clue.

LOL.... The idea that just keeps on giving!

When we get to the year 2062 and the inevitable global female domination, at least you can FINALLY say you were right! ;o]

wwe use to have a show in the late 90's called WWE superstars and it was a WWE heat/metal type show... with a mixer of a WWE experience in it...

I think wwe superstars will be ecw. I mean move all of ecw guys off to raw and smackdown and when superstars hits have a tri branded mid card show. There for ecw guys will be on raw smackdown and superstars. I'm guessing superstars will be making stars like ecw did. So Tyson kidd vs carlito etc we will be seeing. Which im all for a good wrestling show. The divas will be also more on this show more than smackdown i think. And smackdown will go back to the old crusierweights.

I think its funny that people are for an all divas brand yet shitted on the idea of an all Knockouts show for TNA.

Who says someone from WWE is playing "Scorpion King" again? There will probably be a WWE superstar playing in one of the minor roles :dunno:

Yeah, I assumed if the WWE is funding it, someone under their contract would play the main character. =p

I think most are taking WWE Superstars the wrong way. They're not going to have their own roster or be a separate brand. Guys from all three shows will be featured on it. Kind of making the brand extension even more pointless :)

Because TNA can't even get one show right.
