No, in fact a sensei wouldn't refer to a student as a kohai anyway, that was a bit of something I shouldn't have done

the only person who would ever refer to someone as senpai is a kohai and vice versa

It's not a system of ranks. Senseis would call their student by their last name and san.. I would be FoxSan
