He talks about defending the world championship against all comers. Priests’ music hits and he comes to the ring. He congratulates Punk on becoming champion and talks about his WrestleMania win against Drew McIntyre. He tells Punk he’s focused on the world championship now and wants to be his first opponent. Punk tells Priest if he’s ready to step up and challenge him for the world championship he can. He tells Priest how about they meet at Backlash. Priest tells Punk he’ll see him there.]

[The commentators announce Dominik Mysterio versus AJ Styles versus Penta in a triple threat number one contenders match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.]

[Cena interviews backstage and talks about losing to Lesnar at WrestleMania. He says he’s going to retire this year. He says he’s had a twenty three year run. Gunther approaches and tells Cena he’s an afterthought and that he’s the future. He tells Cena he’s going to take back his world championship from Punk, but before that he’s going to retire him. He tells Gunther he’s impressed by him and if he wants to meet him in the ring he can. He says how about they meet at Backlash.]

[Rhea comes to the ring and talks about still being World Women’s Champion after defeating Raquel Rodriguez. Rhea talks about leading the Raw women’s division. She says if anyone wants to step up and challenge her for her championship they can. She raises her championship in the air before leaving the ring.]

Iyo Sky def. Kairi Sane (w/Asuka) and Ivy Nile in a #1 contenders triple threat match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship [Post-match, Becky comes to the stage and holds up her WWE Intercontinental Championship as she stares at Iyo. Iyo looks back at Becky.]

[Bayley and Lyra are backstage interviewing about being the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Bayley says they earned their championship at WrestleMania and will be fighting champions. She says whether they’re on Raw or Smackdown they’ll defend their championship against any team. Lyra says they’re ready for any team that steps up. Bayley and Lyra walk off.]

[Rollins comes to the ring and talks about being left off the WrestleMania card. He says he’s the best wrestler in the world and should be treated with respect. He says he’s leading Raw into a new era and he’s coming for CM Punk and taking back his world championship. Rollins leaves the ring.]

AJ Styles def. Dominik Mysterio (w/JD McDonagh) and Penta in a triple threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship [Dragunov was on commentary. During the match, Dominik and JD got into it with Dragunov. Post-match, Dragunov met AJ in the ring and raised the championship in the air as AJ looked on.]

He says he’s taking on all challengers anytime. Owens’ music hits and he comes to the ring. KO congratulates Orton on his WrestleMania win and being champion. He tells Orton if he’s taking on all challengers anytime how about the two of them meet for the WWE Championship at Backlash. Orton tells KO if he wants a championship opportunity at Backlash he can. Orton and Owens mouth off and stare off in the middle of the ring.]

[We get a video package saying Fraxiom will make their Smackdown debut next week.]

[Carmelo comes to the ring and talks about defeated Jimmy at WrestleMania. Melo says he’s the greatest United States Champion of all-time and the best wrestler on Smackdown. He says he has the brightest future in the WWE. The Bloodline’s music hits and they come to the ring. Solo stands in front of Melo and tells him he’s not all that. He tells him he wants the United States Championship and he’s going to take it from him. Melo tells Solo if he wants to face him for his United States Championship he can. Andrade’s music hits and he comes to the ring. Andrade tells Melo since he’s giving out championship opportunities he’s stepping up to compete for the United States Championship. Solo tells Andrade to get in the back of the line and that he’s the next man up for a championship opportunity. Aldis comes to the stage and says next week it will be Solo Sikoa versus Andrade in a WWE United States Championship number one contenders match. Melo, Solo and Andrade look at each other before Melo leaves the ring. Solo and Andrade mouth off at each other before Solo has The Bloodline follow him out of the ring. Andrade looks on.]

[New Catch Republic are backstage talking when DIY approaches. Ciampa tells them they run the Smackdown tag team division and that they need to get in line around here. Bate tells Ciampa they may be new around here, but they won’t be pushovers. Gargano tells them to respect the best tag team in the company. Dunne tells Gargano how about he and Ciampa meet them in the ring next week to see who the better tag team is. DIY tells New Catch Republic they’ll see them next week. New Catch Republic looks on.]

Dakota Kai © def. Blair Davenport - WWE Women’s United States Championship [Earlier in the night, Dakota was in the locker room getting ready when Jade approached. Jade told Dakota good luck in her match tonight and that if she wins she’ll be coming for her WWE Women’s United States Championship next. Dakota tells Jade after she takes care of Blair she looks forward to meeting her in the ring for the championship. Jade smiles and walks off. Dakota looks on.]

[Riddle interviews backstage and talks about winning his Fight Pit match against Theory at WrestleMania. He says he’s focusing on becoming WWE Champion and walks off.]

[Tozawa meets Otis backstage and they hug. Tozawa tells Otis he’s glad to be on Smackdown. He says they should be a tag team again. Otis tells Tozawa he’d like to team up with him again and go after the WWE Tag Team Championship. Otis and Tozawa dap up and walk off.]

The SecretHERvice (Chelsea Green and Piper Niven) def. Team Kick (Shotzi and Tegan Nox) [During the match, Alba Fyre came to the ring and cost Team Kick the match.]

Rey Fenix def. Apollo Crews

[Tiffany comes to the ring and talks about still being WWE Women’s Champion after beating Bianca at WrestleMania. She says she’s the star of Smackdown and other women wish they could be her and take her championship. Nia’s music hits and she comes to the ring. Nia steps up to Tiffany and tells her she got lucky in beating her for the WWE Women’s Championship, but she’s coming for her championship. Zoey’s music hits and she comes to the ring. Zoey tells Nia she’s had her championship reign and lost and now she needs to move over because now she’s coming for the gold. Zelina’s music hits and she comes to the ring. Zelina look at Tiffany, Nia and Zoey and tells them she’s coming for the WWE Women’s Championship and will go through the three of them to win it. Tiffany tells Nia, Zoey and Zelina that she’s not giving out championship opportunities and that if they want a shot at her championship how about they meet in the ring to sort it out. Aldis comes to the stage and says next week it will be Nia Jax versus Zoey Stark versus Zelina Vega in a number one contenders match for the WWE Women’s Championship. Zoey, Zelina and Nia look at each other as Tiffany says Tiffy time and leaves the ring and backs up the ramp as Zoey, Zelina and Nia look on.]

[Cody’s music hits and he comes to the ring. He talks about being on Raw and becoming World Heavyweight Champion. He says the roster has a lot of opponents he’d like to face and looks forward to battling in the ring with them. Rollins’ music hits and he comes to the ring. He tells Cody he’s not welcomed to Raw. He says Raw is his show and Cody needs to go back to Smackdown with the B-team. Cody tells Rollins he doesn’t have to welcome him to Raw, but he will respect him. Rollins tells Cody he should be showing him respect as the greatest of all-time. Cody tells Rollins how about they meet in the ring tonight and see who’s greater. Rollins tells Cody if he wants to meet him in the ring he can, but not tonight. Rollins smiles and backs towards the ropes and heads out the ropes. Moments later, Cody is attacked from behind by Bron Breaker and Bronson Reed. Breakker and Reed jump Cody as Rollins looks on. Rollins tells Breakker and Reed to hold Cody up before attacking him and dropping him to the mat. Cody tries to get up as Rollins, Breakker and Reed look on. Rollins backs up in the corner and delivers a curb stomp on Cody laying him out. Rollins, Breakker, Reed and Heyman raise their arms in the air as Cody is laid out.]

[Bayley and Lyra come to the ring and offer a challenge to the locker room to face them tonight. The Judgment Day’s music hits and Liv and Raquel come to the ring. Liv tells Bayley and Lyra not to get comfortable being champ because her and Raquel will be coming for their championships. Bayley tells Liv if they want to step up and challenge them tonight they can. Raquel tells Bayley and Lyra how about they face them with their championship on the line. Lyra tells Raquel if her and Liv want a shot at their championship tonight they can. The teams get in each others’ face as Liv and Raquel go to leave, they attack Bayley and Lyra. Liv and Raquel grab the championships and hit Bayley and Liv in the face laying them out. Pearce comes to the stage and says Bayley and Lyra will defend their championship against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez next week. Bayley and Lyra and The Judgment Day stare at each other.]

[Jey Uso and Sami Zayn are backstage talking when Pretty Deadly approach. Kit tells Jey and Sami they’re coming for their championship soon so enjoy them. Jey tells Kit and Prince if they want to go in the ring they can. Prince tells Jey and Sami they’ll see them around. Pretty Deadly walk off. Sami tells Pretty Deadly he and Jey will see them later.]

Giulia def. Ivy Nile [Earlier in the night, Giulia does a backstage interview about coming to Raw from NXT. She says she looks forward to competing on Raw and walks off.]

[Gunther comes to the ring and talks about Cena. He says Cena is past his prime and he’s going to retire him at Backlash. He says he’s the ring general and Cena sucks as a wrestler. He says at Backlash Cena’s career will be over and he will be even more legendary. Gunther leaves the ring and heads up the ramp.]

LA Knight def. Ludwig Kaiser [Earlier in the night, LA came to the ring and talked about being on Raw. He says he’s the megastar and he wants gold. He says he wants the prestigious WWE Intercontinental Championship. Kaiser’s music hits and he comes to the ring. Kaiser tells Knight he’s the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all-time and he’ll be taking his championship back so LA can get to the back of the line. Knight tells Kaiser if he wants the Intercontinental Championship back he’ll have to go through him. He says how about they meet in the ring tonight. Kaiser tells LA he’ll see him in the ring tonight before leaving and heading up the ramp. LA looks on.]

[Roxanne interviews backstage and talks about being The Prodigy and future of the women’s division. She says she’s taking over Raw and will be champion soon. She walks off.]

[AJ comes to the ring and talks about competing against Dragunov for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Backlash. He says Dragunov is good in the ring, but he’s phenomenal. He says at Backlash he’ll win his first Intercontinental Championship when he beats Dragunov. Dragunov’s music hits and he comes to the ring. Dragunov tells AJ he’s impressed with his career and respects him. He says at Backlash the two of them will meet in the ring and let the best man win. Dragunov and AJ stare at each other in the middle of the ring.]

Damien Priest def. Santos Escobar [Punk was on commentary. Post-match, Punk met Priest in the middle of the ring and raised the championship in the air and stared at Priest. Priest stared up at the championship and back at Punk.]

[Rollins, Breakker, Reed and Heyman came to the ring. Heyman introduced their group as The Vision. He talks about them running Raw and being the future of the WWE. He says Breakker is a future WrestleMania main eventer and multi-time world champion. He says Reed is a force that will dominate the WWE. Heyman says Rollins is the now. Rollins gets the mic from Heyman. He says he’s leading The Vision that will take over Raw and the WWE. He says the roster needs to stay out of their way as they run things now. Cody’s music hits and he comes to the ring. Cody tells Rollins he’s got a score to settle with him and his cronies. Cody attacks Rollins. Breakker and Reed attack Cody. Rollins joins Breakker and Reed in attacking Cody. Moments later, Rey’s music hits and he comes to the ring for the save. He clears Breakker and Reed from the ring. He goes to attack Rollins, but Rollins leaves through the ropes. Rey stares at The Vision and checks on Cody as The Vision backs up the ramp. Pearce comes to the stage and says tonight The Vision will have another fight as Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed will team up against Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio. JD McDonagh (w/Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio and Carlito) [Earlier in the night, LA was interviewing backstage about going after the winner of AJ Styles and Ilja Dragunov match at Backlash and becoming WWE Intercontinental Champion. The Judgment Day approach. Balor tells LA he won’t be the next Intercontinental Champion because Dominik Mysterio will. Dominik tells LA this isn’t Smackdown and that he’s the future of Raw and while he’s just a loser. LA tells Dominik he can meet him in the ring tonight and settle this. JD tells Dominik he’ll handle LA tonight. LA tells JD he’ll meet him in the ring. LA walks off. During the match, The Judgment Day tried to cost LA the match, but he fought them off. Post-match, LA celebrates as The Judgment Day looked on from outside the ring.]
[Iyo comes to the ring and talks about being the new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. She says she will be a fighting champion. Becky’s music hits and she comes to the ring. Becky tells Iyo she beat her for her championship, but she’s taking it back. She says she’s the greatest women’s wrestler of all-time and wants her rematch. Iyo tells Becky she was the better woman in the ring when they fought for the championship. She tells her if she wants a rematch for the championship she can have it. Gunther def. Chad Gable [Post-match, Cena’s music hits and he comes to the ring. Cena tells Gunther this weekend, they go one-on-one at Backlash. He tells Gunther he will be a tough challenge, but is up for it. He tells Gunther he wants to retire him, but it won’t be this weekend. Gunther tells Cena this weekend will be the last time he competes in a ring. He tells him he will toss him around the ring like a ragdoll and retire him. Cena and Gunther stare and mouth off at each other in the middle of the ring before Gunther goes to leave, but attacks Cena. Cena fights back and goes for an AA on Gunther, but Gunther escapes and leaves the ring. Gunther heads up the ramp staring back at Cena as Cena looks on.]

[Pretty Deadly, The Creed Brothers, Latino World Order and The Viking Raiders are talking backstage about going after the World Tag Team Championship. Pearce approaches and tells them next week each team will compete in a number one contenders fatal-four-way tag team match for the World Tag Team Championship. Jey and Sami approach the tag teams. Jey tells them they’ll be waiting for whoever wins the number one contenders match next week, yeet! Jey and Sami walk off.]

AJ Styles def. Sheamus [Post-match, Dragunov comes to the ring and raises the Intercontinental Championship in the air. AJ looks up at it and back at Dragunov as they stare at each other.]

[Bayley and Lyra are walking backstage when they’re attacked from behind by Liv and Raquel. They throw Bayley and Lyra into backstage equipment and lay them out. Liv tells them they’re coming for their tag team championship and her and Raquel walk off.]

Kross tells Punk he’s not the best in the world anymore he’s champion because he hasn’t faced an opponent as good as him. He says he should’ve been WWE Champion on Smackdown if it wasn’t for people like Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. He tells Punk he’s the best on Raw and he’s holding his championship for him and wants it. Punk tells Kross he doesn’t run from a fight and if he wants to be the next challenger for his champion he can be. Punk raises the championship in the air and he and Kross mouth off at each other.]

[LA meets Pearce backstage. He asks Pearce when’s he getting a shot at the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The Judgment Day walk in. Orton goes for an RKO but misses. McIntyre goes to the turnbuckle and lays Orton out with a claymore. McIntyre stands tall over Orton. Aldis comes to the stage and tells McIntyre if he wants an opportunity at the WWE Championship he’ll have to earn it. He tells him there will be two number one contenders matches where the winners will meet to determine the number one contender for the WWE Championship. Cody’s music hits and he comes to the ring. He tells Rollins he’s not on Raw to be pushed to the side and he’s not going to take crap from The Vision. He tells Rollins he’s already kicked one of his lackeys asses last week and wants him in the ring tonight. Rollins tells Cody that’s not going to happen and that he controls Raw. He tells him he can get his ass kicked by the three of them right now. The Vision surrounds Cody as he prepares to fight when Reigns’ music hits. Reigns comes to the ring and stands beside Cody as he stares at The Vision. Reigns tells Rollins he’s not going to let The Vision control Raw. He tells Cody how about the two of them kick The Vision’s ass right now. Cody and Reigns attack The Vision. Cody and Reigns brawl with Reed and Breakker. They clear Reed and Breakker from the ring and surround Rollins. They go to attack Rollins, but Reed and Breakker pull him from the ring. The Vision stare at Cody and Reigns outside the ring as Rollins yells.
