Nia says she’s not going to lose her championship anytime soon. Tiffany looks a way about that. Nia tells Tiffany with her having her back no one can beat her. Tiffany looks like she’s about to speak when Natalya’s music hits and she comes to the ring. He says Balor didn’t have what it took to stay champion then and doesn’t have what it takes to become champion now. He says Balor is not in his league. He tells Balor to not show up this weekend or if he does not to get injured in his biggest moment in the WWE. Gunther laughs and leaves the ring.]

[The commentary team talks about the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament.]

Becky Lynch def. B-Fab in a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament first round match

[Earlier today, Jackie Redmond sat down with CM Punk. Punk said he doesn’t think of Seth “Freakin” Rollins at all. How will he handle that? Punk says he won’t shy away from a fight. If you come at him, he’ll swing. Rollins’ hatred of him confuses him. Punk doesn’t hate Rollins. You have to talk about their history. You’re talking about a 16-year-old Rollins coming to Punk and asking him to train him for free. That entitlement has carried over into the adult Seth Rollins, who wants to be the best in the world. Punk remembers a time when Rollins was on the Top 10 list of people to be fired from this place. Punk shielded him from that. If he were in Rollins’ place, Punk would hate him, too. In Punk’s absence, Rollins did a good job filling in. Now, the starter is back. Rollins has to return to the bench.]

[Jey’s music hits and he comes to the ring. Jey says after the finish to his and Sami’s match last week, he’s been wondering who the number one contender to the WWE Intercontinental Championship is. He says no disrespect to his brother Sami, but he won the match. Sami’s music hits and he comes to the ring. He tells Jey no disrespect, but they must not have been at the same match because he beat him last week. Jey and Sami start to argue when Kaiser’s music hits and he comes to the ring. Kaiser calls Jey and Sami losers and says neither one of them won as usual. He tells them there is no number one contender as neither one of them deserve another shot at his championship. Pearce comes to the stage. He says because Jey and Sami’s match was a draw, both of them will face Kaiser in a triple threat match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a few weeks. Kaiser is pissed. Jey and Sami look at each other and have words.]

Ilja Dragunov vs. Bronson Reed never gets started [As Dragunov is entering the ring, Reed attacks him. Reed and Dragunov brawl to the outside. They brawl through the stands and to the concessions area. Backstage crew come and break them up.]

[Sheamus is walking backstage when Kross and Scarlett approach. Kross tells Sheamus he’s been watching Raw and he hasn’t looked like himself lately. He tells him he hasn’t looked like the multi-time world champion. Sheamus asks Kross what he's getting at. Kross tells Sheamus he’s lost a step or two and maybe he should step aside for someone going places like him. Kross smiles and walks off with Scarlett. Sheamus looks on.]

Lyra Valkyria (w/Bayley) def. Maxxine Dupri in a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament first round match

[The commentary team talks about The Judgement Day versus Rhea Ripley and IYO Sky at Saturday Night Main Event.]

[Seth “Freakin” Rollins makes his way to the ring. He welcomes the crowd to Monday Night Rollins. He tells Wichita to give it up for CM Punk. He says when Punk’s days are done in the ring, he’s got a career as a politician ahead of him. He says that interview earlier tonight was a masterclass. He says he did ask Punk to train him and at one time, Punk was the best in the world. He says Punk helped him get his foot in the door.

He says he respected Punk and they were friends. He says If the story ended there, you might wonder why Rollins hates Punk so much. He says the part of the story Punk left out will tell you why. He says when CM Punk walked out the doors of this company, he called and texted him as a friend. He says he got nothing back, Punk ghosted him. He says it wasn’t just him, it was every person who was friends with him and worked for this company. He says If you didn’t quit your dream job and your priorities didn’t line up with CM Punk, you were evil.

He says that’s not the end of the story. He says for the next ten years, all Punk tried to do was tear this company down. He says Punk took all the potshots he could. He says Punk only came back because he failed and burned every bridge that could bring him to water. Also, the money was right. He says he used to chant Punk’s name once upon a time. He says he wanted to be better than CM Punk.

He said he was. He says everything Punk did in the ring, he did twice. He says he also main evented WrestleMania, unlike Punk. He says Punk wants to win the world championship again, but he’ll never become champion again as long as he’s around. Rollins drops the mic and heads to the back.]

Damien Priest def. Santos Escobar (w/Legado Del Fantasma) [Earlier in the night, Priest was interviewing backstage. He talked about McIntyre when Legado Del Fantasma walked up. Escobar told Priest something in Spanish and then told him he’s not world champion material. He told Priest he was world championship material and after winning the gold before him maybe he’d give him a championship opportunity. Escobar laughed. Priest told Escobar how about he show him what world championship material looks like in the ring tonight. Escobar tells Priest something in Spanish and walks off. Legado follows. Priest looks on. Berto and Angel tries to cost Priest the match, but he fights them off. Post-match, McIntyre comes to the ring and lays Priest out with a claymore. McIntyre stands over the laid out Priest.]

[Knight’s music hits and he comes to the ring. He talks about how no one thinks he’ll win the big one. He says he’s worked his ass off to get to this point and tomorrow night at Saturday Night Main Event it’s not going to be an upset because Cody’s not above him. He says he respects Cody as a champion, but he’s going to kick his ass and take his WWE Championship because he’s the megastar and he’s L-A-Knight, YEAH!]

Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss def. Pure Fusion Collective (Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler) (w/Sonya Deville) [Post-match, Bianca and Naomi came to the ring. Naomi was carrying Jade’s tag team championship. Bianca tells Charlotte and Alexa she thinks they attacked Jade last week to weaken them and go after their championship again because they couldn’t beat them otherwise. Alexa tells Bianca they didn’t attack Jade and didn’t need to to beat them. She tells her they would’ve beaten them a few weeks ago if it weren’t for Pure Fusion. Charlotte tells Bianca they didn’t need to take Jade out because they’re already better than them. Naomi yells at Charlotte and Alexa that they did Jade out and tells Bianca they should handle it right now. Bianca looks at Naomi and then at Charlotte and Alexa and the teams start brawling. Alexa and Charlotte clear Naomi and Bianca from the ring. Naomi yells they’re not done with them as she and Bianca back up the ramp. Charlotte and Alexa look on.]

[The Bloodline are backstage. Solo tells them Owens disrespected them last week and they dealt with him. He tells them anyone who disrespects them gets dealt with and they’ll deal with someone else.]

Dakota Kai def. Chelsea Green in a WWE Women’s United States Championship Tournament Semi-Finals

[Backstage, Riddle interviews and talks about Theory. He says Theory seems upset because he thinks he isn’t the future and he is. He says he’s having fun, competing and trying to have a successful career. He says he and Theory both could be the future of the WWE and have battles for years. He says maybe Theory will come around and they can be friends. Riddle walks off.]

Blair Davenport def. Tegan Nox (w/Shotzi) in a WWE Women’s United States Championship Tournament Semi-Finals

[Natalya interviews backstage and talks about going after the WWE Women’s Championship. She talks about The Hart Family and what it would mean to win the world championship. Aldis walks up and tells Natalya she’ll have the opportunity to compete for the world championship if she can win a qualifying match next week where she’ll find out who her opponent is. Aldis walks off as Natalya looks on.]

Randy Orton def. Carmelo Hayes via DQ [During the match, The Bloodline came to the ring and attacked Orton. Orton fights back, but Jacob lays him out. Solo tells The Bloodline to lift Orton up. They lift Orton up and Solo puts his hand on Orton’s jaw and yells at him. Solo goes for the Samoan Spike when Owens’ music hits and he comes to the ring with a chair. Owens hits Tama and Tonga with a chair, dropping them to the mat. Owens swings at Solo, but Jacob pushes him out of the way and gets hit. The chair has no impact on Jacob, who stares at Owens. Owens hits Jacob several more times with chair shots until he staggers. Orton goes for an R-K-O on Jacob, but Solo takes him out of the ring. Solo and Jacob stand near the announce table. Owens grabs a mic and tells Solo he wasn’t going to let The Bloodline dominate Smackdown. He challenges Solo and another member of The Bloodline to a match at Saturday Night Main Event. Solo grabs a mic and tells Owens he’s kicked his ass too many times already. He tells him if he wants a match he can face the tag champs. Tama and Tonga join Solo and Jacob. Owens says he needs a partner and wonders where he’ll find one. Owens looks at Orton. Orton looks at Owens and at The Bloodline. He says he will walk out a four-time champion. Jey’s music hits and he comes to the ring. Jey tells Sami he’s his brother, but at Saturday Night Main Event he’s in the way of him winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He tells Sami he loves him, but he’s going to kick his ass. Sami tells Jey he loves him and the feeling is the same. Jey and Sami stare and mouth off at each other.]

Lyra Valkyria (w/Bayley) def. Kairi Sane (w/Asuka) in a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship tournament Semi-Final match

McIntyre yells at Priest as Priest looks on.]

Ilja Dragunov def. Bronson Reed

[Punk's music hits and he makes his way to the ring. He says not to call attention to people who don’t matter, but someone who might get mad is the guy in the New York jersey. Punk asks, “Is it great to be alive on a Monday night in Boston or what?”

Punk says he’s feeling low and in a bad mood. He says two weeks ago, in this ring, he told Seth Rollins face-to-face that he doesn’t think about Rollins at all. He says Rollins told him he thinks about him all the time. He says over the course of the last two weeks, he sometimes thought about Rollins and is now in a bad mood. He says Rollins is right, whatever this thing is between them, as much as Punk wanted to avoid it, it’s only a matter of time until they lock up in this ring. He says he’s also upset because something he enjoys doing, which is walking to the ring and talking to the people, will always be overshadowed because he knows at some point that stupid music will hit. He says then Rollins will tiptoe out like Liberaace, which is not an insult.

He says he thinks Liberace is cool. He says the point that Rollins might want to interrupt before he makes it is that just because he wears Elton John glasses does not make him Elton John. He says just because Rollins grew up idolizing him and is now wearing wrestling boots does not make him CM Punk. He says Rollins came out here with a straight face and told the world that Punk had ghosted him. He says It’s true, but he isn’t here to litigate the past. He says he is looking forward to the future. He says he’d love to say it’s not Rollins, but they seem to be on a collision course.

He says he’s the bad guy in this situation because there is no such thing as a bad student… just bad teachers. He says Seth Rollins is his failure. He says that 16-year-old kid who came to him and begged to be trained, he is now ready to give him the wrestling lesson he asked for years ago for free. He says if Rollins wants to give him shoes to fill, he’ll fill them. He says the last guy to do that was Drew McIntyre. He says Rollins needs to ask himself if he’s tougher than Drew McIntyre. He says everyone knows Rollins isn’t.

He says there aren’t enough staples to put Rollins back together when he’s done with him.
Rollins still doesn’t come out. He says he knows what can get him out here. He says it’s the same thing that pissed Rollins off while he was gone for the last seven years: people chanting his name. Rollins emerges in the crowd. He says life is about perspective. He says he thought that if he came out here and saw Punk the way the people do, it might give him a new perspective and help him see Punk in a new light.

He says he is going to take a good, hard look… but even from way out here, Punk is still an “asshole.” Punk chuckles. Punk says he’s overjoyed that Rollins didn’t come out here with that stupid song. He tells Rollins he belongs in the audience with the rest of the CM Punk fans. Rollins says it doesn’t embarrass him to be out here with the people. He says he’s a fan and always will be. He says when Punk abandoned this place and hoped it would die without him, he put it on his back and made it stronger.

He tells Punk he should be embarrassed. He tells Punk this fan has more WrestleMania main events than he ever will. Rollins tells Punk “That’s a fact, Phil!” Rollins walks down the steps, and Punk hops the barricade. Rollins and Punk start brawling in the crowd. WWE referees and producers run down to separate them. They pull Rollins back to ringside.

Punk jumps off the barricade and attacks Rollins. They’re quickly separated. Rollins breaks free and jumps off the steel steps to attack Punk again. They’re pulled apart but break free and start brawling in the ring. The officials pull them away from each other. Punk is pulled away and taken through the crowd. Rollins seems like he’s calming down, but he redirects and jumps into the crowd. Rollins and Punk start brawling once again. Punk is irate as they’re once again pulled apart.]

[Rollins welcomes the crowd to Monday Night Rollins. He wants to go out with a bang. He says one week from tonight, the biggest fight in their sport, ten years in the making, the Voice of the Voiceless takes on the Visionary. The Second City Saint battles the Monday Night Messiah. The self-proclaimed Best in the World vs. the real Best in the World. It’ll be CM Punk going one-on-one with Seth “Freakin” Rollins. He says after next week, you know where you can find him.

He says he will be on Raw… and the Monday after that and the Monday after that. He’ll be fighting in this ring because that’s what he does. If things don’t go CM Punk’s way, what will he do? Maybe he’ll cry about it, whine about it, take ten years off, take his ball, and go home. Punk’s music hits, and he coldly makes his way to the ring and gets in. He grabs a microphone and stares at his opponent a week from tonight on Netflix. He asks, “Took his ball and went home?”

That’s the most industry-plant, cliche bootlicker line he’s heard. What “paragon of virtue” gave Rollins that? Who originally said that, trying to turn the people against the boys? Did “Stone Cold” Steve Austin take his ball and go home? He wants to tell the 15,000 strong in Houston that Punk abandoned them. In reality, Rollins wants to cry because he abandoned him. He says he was sick and tired and left this place.

He says Rollins stayed and ate it. He doesn’t want to talk about the last ten years. Let’s talk about the last ten months. Punk asks how is Rollins’ neck and knee? How are his insides? He saw “Big” Bronson Reed hit him with six Tsunamis. How is Rollins’ pride?

He says he believes in himself. He says Rollins is a self-professed martyr. He says he came back and said he came back here for money, not friends. Next week, he will make a boatload of cash by making Rollins the victim he so badly wants to be. Punk calls him “Little brother.” Rollins laughs. That “Little Brother” crap isn’t going to work anymore for him.

The difference between Punk and everyone else that left is they actually did leave. His wife is taking a break to raise a kid, which Punk would know nothing about. Punk is infuriated. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin said leaving was the biggest mistake he ever made. Austin understands change. He says Punk wanted this place to die with the echoes of his name. Punk went on his buddy’s podcast to try to tear this place down.

Then he took a big chunk of change to join the competition. How did that work out for Punk? He says Punk wants to call Rollins a martyr, but he’s never felt ashamed of what he did. He says he fought and stayed. That’s how revolutions are made, not by cowards who abandon their families. Now Punk wants to come back and wave the flag with the rest of them? No way.

Punk can’t big brother him anymore because Rollins is the big brother. He says Punk will take another ten years off after January 6. Punk says you can recognize the pioneers because of the arrows on their backs. Punk was the first one through the wall and got bloodied for it. Rollins wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him. Punk loved the place he worked at but hated the guy in charge. That guy loved Rollins.

In situations where Rollins should have had his back, all he did was shoot arrows into it. Then he leaves, and Rollins shows his true colors by stabbing Roman Reigns in the back. Now, he’s dressed like an idiot, trying to play the victim in a situation he created. The arrows kill weak people. The greats find a way to march forward. He says he got far enough away until the arrows couldn’t reach him. He says he pulled those arrows out.

For seven years, the crowd, mostly during Rollins’ television time, chanted his name. He says he should be dead, but he’s not. The arrow throwers are mad. Next week, those same arrows that were supposed to do him in, he carries to this day. He’ll come to Netflix with a fistful of arrows and jam them down Rollins’ corporate throat! Rollins says he’s never said this to Punk’s face. Once upon a time, Punk was a pioneer.

He says now, he is a cancer to the locker room, Rollins’ brain, and this business. They angrily stare into each other’s eyes as the final Raw on the USA Network ends.]
