Registration to this forum is free!
We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below.
If you are not sure of a rule or have any questions about the rules or forum in general then please ask one of the staff.

The Rules of WrestlingSmarks Forums
Note that these rules are flexible in our favour. Do not try to find ways to get around these rules because you will still receive warnings/infractions for your efforts if we the staff believe you are breaking the rules. Staff members decisions are final unless repealed by a higher ranking staff member.

1) Spam: There isn't a specific number of sentences that you must put into a post. However, any post considered to be spurious spam will be deleted and the poster sanctioned. Also please refrain from double posting or making duplicate threads. Do a quick search of the forum for similar threads before creating one.

2) Advertising: Posting links to sites or contacting people via PM advertising your web site or goods or services is not allowed. Advertising in your signature is also not allowed

3) Flaming: Insulting/Abusing/Attacking someone is not allowed here. Keep it civil on the forum and be respectful of the other members.

4) Signatures/Avatars: Keep it reasonable and keep it clean. Here are the sizes for the 2 main usergroups

Regular Members
Profile Pictures: 200X200 (500000 bytes)
AVATARS 150X250 (500000 bytes)
Signature Limits: 1 Image Max In Signature 500X500 in size (1000000 bytes)

VIP Members
Profile Picture: 500X500 (1000000 bytes)
Avatars: 250X250 (1500000 bytes)
Signature Limits: 500X500 2 Image Max In Signature (3000000 bytes)

5) Offensive Material: No nudity is allowed on WrestlingSmarks Forums. No offensive material whatsoever is allowed and neither are offensive posts about someone’s race, sex, religion, age etc. Keep the swearing to a minimum aswell. Keep it clean around the forums.

6) Becoming a Staff Member: If you aren’t a staff member don’t ask to be one and don’t act like one around the forums. We will contact members whom we want to join the staff not the other way around.

7) Spoiler Rules: We have in place a 24 Hour Grace period for spoilers, so after a live event of any of the promotions please label your threads with a **Spoiler** tag and try not to give away a major result in the thread title. This is included into the Chatbox, no spoilers in there either. If you want to discuss it you can either post a thread in the correct discussion section with Spoilers written in the title or if you just want to talk about it with VIPs set up a spoiler thread in the VIP lounge.

8) Punishments: We aren't going to throw out bans, but you will be warned if you break a rule, followed by a infraction if it continues, and in cases where you constintly breaking rules a temporary or permanent ban may be handed out.
The staff reserve the right to remove or alter your posts and threads at any time for any reason. We also reserve the right to ban, whether permanently or temporarily, at any time for any reason.

These rules are subject to change without notice. Please check this page on a regular basis for changes, additions and deletions.

Staff will be keeping an eye on these plus the other rules and members will receive warnings and infractions if they break the rules.

It's really sad that I have to state this publicly, but after two bans already I guess I have to.

Sharing someone's picture without their consent will be an immediate ban. Length of which depends on prior behavior.

Do not bait people into saying things you know will get them in trouble or start a fight that will lead them into getting in trouble.

Do not try to bait someone with the intention of provoking a reaction that leads to a fight. Especially if it's not related to the topic going on.

Do not intentionally bring fights across multiple threads and chats. Keep it where it started and if you're told to stop, don't restart it in the chat.

If you have an opinion about policy that concerns LGBT issues, keep it to the political thread and keep it respectful.

Under no circumstances are you to make sweeping generalizations about a group of people nor make comparisons to aliens or being inhuman.

Do not under any circumstances repeat something you were warned not to say again by simply changing the marginalized group.

Just a friendly reminder to read the rules or you won’t be long for this world.

You are not allowed to make veiled generalizations about marginalized groups under the guise you were really talking about something innocent because you used a ”clever” double entendre.

You are allowed to discuss your opinions on gay marriage and trans sports issues etc in the politics thread, but fair warning you’ll most likely be challenged on your positions. You are not however allowed to talk about minorities and other groups in disparaging ways on your profile posts.

You're not going to get banned for having an "opinion." You will be warned however for making incendiary generalizations about marginalized groups.

You can say you don't want to watch NWA because a drag queen was on it and others are allowed to roast you for it. No warnings applied there.

You are NOT allowed to say Trix are for trans people and play it off like it was about the cereal commercial. Warnings will be applied here, though.

To reiterate what our stance on gay rights and marriage is from our announcement to keep it all consolidated in the rules thread for easy access:

Under no circumstances is it acceptable to use dehumanizing language when referring to any group of people not limited to sexual orientation.

Do not compare people to inanimate objects. Do not compare healthy sexual attraction to people to wanting to marry an inanimate object or having sex with an animal. Anything designed to other people.

There will be no tolerance for calling sexual orientation a fetish or implying they’re comparable.

Action has already been taken on someone that didn’t heed their first warning. Someone that gave us a great headache. Please do not test our patience.

In case you need it stated publicly for you to understand, we take mental health quite seriously here. If you ever divulge or disclose or utilize something shared in the mental health thread, or about their mental health shared anywhere else, in a capacity outside of their support, you will be immediately reprimanded and subject to Punishments up to, and including banishment. It’s 2025 and I thought I would give everyone a reminder that we have a strong set of rules against discrimination here. For some reason some people don’t think this applies to trans people, but it absolutely does. There will be zero tolerance for marginalizing people of any community, and this includes, deciding it’s your “opinion” who is or isn’t trans, regardless of if it’s based on your subjective criteria like whether or not they’ve had surgery or cosmetic changes or that they “pass,” in crude terminology. There will be no dehumanizing people based on gender identity of any kind here. Let me be clear:

While there may be some areas that can be discussed on this in a respectful manner, there will be absolutely no tolerance for making trans people simply existing, one of those topics of discussion. End of discussion. Thank you.

It’s been a year since I bumped this thread and considering it’s also a brand new year I thought I’d give some important updates based on recent events, but also just things that should’ve been generally well known by now…

I know I’ve spoken to a few of the people involved personally and had to hand out mandatory expectations moving forward, as well as promises of accountability, but I just want to state for the record, in public, the following:

This is a niche wrestling forum on the Internet and there’s only a few of us are left still gathering around and we’re probably considered an antiquated form to do this so the primary goal of being here is to have fun and build a community. And one of the ways we do that is by putting together ways of celebrating what we’ve accomplished over the year. While it’s nice to be honored by our fellow members as the XYZ poster, these are at the end of the day for fun. I don’t ever want to see people taking these things too seriously or I might have to take them away.

Please do not ever accuse people that are spending their hard time running these things of rigging these contests or wishing harm on them because you don’t think that they were run well. There is a time and place for constructive criticism if you feel that they weren’t promoted properly or what have you, but I do not ever want to see staff members being directly harmed over something they’re doing for a website attached to my name.

I want to be very clear on this: NO activity ANY member is doing for this website should ever be flamed because again at the end of the day this is for fun. And while I do stress staff member shouldn’t be disrespected, I don’t want anyone participating on my forum to be disrespected in this manner, regardless. Participating, hosting or otherwise.

I also shouldn’t have to say that staff members shouldn’t be insulting other members whether they be VIP, Hall of Fame, staff members or otherwise, but it is especially a bad look to see staff members that I have given the responsibility to run things in my name attacking other staff members. It would be bad enough if this was done in private, but I especially do not want to see this on the public board or in my chat room, but let me be Frank moving forward if I find out this is being done even in private, actions will be taken.

This is also not specific to this situation, that I have seen not just from today, but over the last year plus of people getting way too comfortable, not directly saying they want to kill another member or a person in the real world, but just frankly just saying that the world would be better off if they were dead and I don’t wanna see any more of this. It doesn’t help that the person that had this said to them has also been guilty of doing this so it would slightly hypocritical to punish them solely for this, but under no circumstances do I want to see repeat behavior of this. From either party.

One final note, that while I try my best to leave things that happen outside this forum outside of this forum if you bring it onto my forum, there will be a zero tolerance policy moving forward. I don’t want drama happening outside, spilling back on here, but also if it involves two people on here and I find out that just because you can’t do it here you decide to take it back out there, I will also take action. I need adults to take personal responsibility for themselves because accountability will not just be a buzz word around here.

I will not give secondary warnings on this matter. People that have been spoken to know who they are and will need to be on their best behavior for at least the foreseeable future. Having any kind of responsibility here isn’t a right it’s a privilege which can be revoked at any time as can just being able to post here in general. I don’t want to do either of those things so please just behave.
