Yeah don't you have to put your arms behind ropes?

@[seabs] LOL

One of them, at least, for security reasons. If the rope breaks, you won't get hurt because you're holding the rope. If you're not holding it and the rope breaks, well, you crash hard. I've seen it happen!

So where do you wrestle, I assume the U.S? Because in the next year or the after I will start wrestling because that's when I finally finish my education.

I need to find a good school and a trainer with good rep.

While training, if you bump wrong, or something like that, it hurts a little bit, but after ten seconds you're okay! I'd advise knee and elbow pads, otherwise you'll scratch your knees and elbows. After training is the problem, you cool off and you start feeling muscular pain for 2 ou 3 days. After the first training, I couldn't even walk on steps. It's hard, but you get through, don't worry.

Cool, appreciate the tips bro!
Yeah if you dont wear elbow and knee pads you can kiss your elbows and knees goodbye.
Lol @ Flair & Rhodes for wearing them under the knees. ;P

I think kneepads are WAYYY more important than elbowpads. I don't wear elbowpads yet, I haven't bought them, and my elbows are all scratched. But the kneepads also help to prevent a knee injury, and you need to be very careful with those, because they can be career ending.

Why not wrestle in the U.S?

Because I can't afford living there yet, I'm 16, I'm in school, living with my mother here... Maybe one day. If I go, at least I have a background!

Yea indeed they are soft so and have cushions in them so they can make a knee bump/drop lighter.

I thank you for this valuable info man. I'm lookin forward to go to wrestling school right after I get a degree in business but as of now I am in highschool in my first year in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. I quit wrestling after the first practice because I am short and I hit my head really hard while practicing a takedown. Next year ima join wrestling again but this time stay through it now that I read this thread

I'm short too, and I'm really light, and I also hit my head while selling a headlock takedown (today)! Some people take years to dominate the takedown! You shouldn't have quit, stuff like that happens! Glad to know you want to come back!

The thing is it was amateur wrestling and I realized even if I did a lot of stuff to become really good shape I could still face the same pains so it was like its okay I'll just try again next year.

Yes, of course you'll go through some pain, but it doesn't cost you that much to do things if you're in shape.
