I'd even put either Rhodes or Dibiase in that pool as well. Either Swagger, MVP, Christian, Rhodes or Dibiase will be in a main event title match at Mania.
As for Taker, I hear he's banged up real bad and that he's going to need surgery AGAIN soon. They can do Jericho/Edge anytime. Taker's time is coming, I'd do Taker/Jericho at this Mania rather than wait.

lol, I think if Rhodes will be in a match, It'd be more of a triple threat or some type of multi-man match. Cause imo, Rhodes>DiBiase.
EDIT: Or maybe Rhodes wins MitB. It does seem WWE are more on Dibiase rather than Rhodes. That's more wishful thinking rather than what I think would actually happen.

Yeah, Taker came back out of necessity. I heard he was thinking about not coming back until after the Rumble to just do a program for Mania. Right now he has to avoid taking any major bumps and can only do light work, which would also explain the Breaking Point match length. He's gotta go in for additional hip surgery, I would imagine after HIAC, which probably isn't the best kind of match for him to be doing in his condition.

You know what sucks? ...The supposed "need" to bring Taker back early is only really cos of the looming HIAC PPV.... If it weren't for that they could have just as easily booked a 3 or 4 way or even a scramble at UNFORGIVEN - Say, Punk, JoMo, Matt Hardy & whoever - and then kicked the Punk/Baitsta thing off at the same point.
My concern is that if they have Taker wrestle a HIAC whilst needing surgery only to get injured further, he may taint the twighlight of his career with sub-par performances rather than being used scarecely so that he can maximize his final appearances.
I'd say WM27 really should be his retirement.

Seeing as how HBK and HHH are DX now and will more than likely not be in the main event, what does that leave? Cena and Orton. God forbid WWE would actually push someone on Raw instead of Bob Barker and Cedric the Entertainer.

No chance of something different. Orton and Cena are the top two guys in the WWE and haven't yet had a proper Mania feud. They will seperate for a few months after Cena beats Orton at HIAC. Then restart their feud sometime after the Rumble.
Ted and Cody have absolutely zero chance of being in the main event. The WWE puts on the matches that the majority of WWE fans want to see at Mania. Very few people would want to see, let alone want to pay 50 bucks to see, Cody or Ted in a main event Mania match. It took Cena 3 years to get to the main event. It took Orton 4 years. It took people like HHH and HBK much longer than that.
