With a mere 3 weeks to the next PPV and the submissions-only main event gimmick, who do you think will be challenging for what and what do you make of it?


The likely:


ECW title - Regal scams himself another shot at Christain?

This seems likely given his back-up and I'd look forward to him and Christian wrestling a submission match over the ECW title.

WWE title - Cena against rediculous guest GM-imposed odds wins a contendership match?

You can bet on it! ....Just a shame him V Orton in a submission match will stink!

Already, I'm envisaging all FOUR of legacy finding some underhanded way to make Cena quit.... Held to ransom over a fans safety maybe? ...Defo something where he can lose yet still look heroic. I'd like to see that rather than have him mimmick SCSA @ WM13 with the "I'll pass out before I quit" approach.

Does Orton even have a submission move in his arsenal? LOL

I'm predicting an Orton win as it will suitably set up a Cena/Orton HIAC for the month after.


WHC - CM Punk, for a man of his size, showing himself to have the one of the biggest pairs of balls in WWE history, and embarking on a fued with Taker which he DIDN'T instigate?

Something about this doesn't sit well with me.... Taker, unprovoked, attacks Punk after a CLEAN, hard fought victory @ Summerslam, only for Punk to grant him a title shot....? That sounds fresh from the FACE 'mould' to me.

The switcheroo witH Hardy & Taker ' SSlam was so sweet, but they shoulda held back from taker actually attacking Punk and proceeded with Taker's usual "I'm coming for you" head-fuckery.

Devils Gate v Anaconda Vice would be pretty dope though.

Is only the three main events (ECW,WHC,WWE)submission matches or are the IC and US also?

Vince said last night that only main events will be submission matches. And considering that there were reports (whether true or false) that it was being considered that DX vs Legacy main event the ppv, who knows what would be considered main events.

Yeah they were. My point is if they were willing to have a no title at all tag match main event their second biggest ppv of the year, you don't know (or at least I don't) know what WWE would consider as "main event'' anymore.

Anyhoo i think Cena/Orton I quit match will be pretty good Hope the batter the crap out of each other so I'm quite looking forward to that. I also think Christian/Regal will be a good match. Because IMO these two could put on a pretty damn good match if they get the time, Unlike the 10 second shite we got @SS.

As anything been said yet who Punk is gonna face ? could it be Jeff(Hasn't left yet as he?) or Matt or Taker. All 3 could be potential candidates ?. Plz put me right if Punk vs ?? has been announced.

Funny you mention the prospect of an "I Quit" match rather than a standard submission match, I did wonder how strictly they'd adhere to the terminology for the purposes of this PPV. Obviously an "I Quit" match would open things up a bit more for guys that don't usually wrestle anything approaching that style.
