Hello looking for a bit of advice. I've never seen these TV series. (From The UK, so most US TV shows aren't heavily advertised) so I was wondering if you could all give your opinions on them as I'm sure most of you have seen/watched them.

Covert Affairs
Burn Notice
Community
Homeland
Psych
Person of Interest

Thanks.

Starting psych soon, burn notice is horrible. I watch suits, which isnt bad but isnt amazing. Weeds, Newsroom, Breaking bad, League, and it's always sunny are great, Workaholics is amazing.

I love Suits, Haven't seen Weeds, Newsroom is my favourite TV show, haven't watched much Breaking Bad. Just a few episodes. Willing to give it another try though.

I'll have a look at Workaholics.

Burn Notice is good, Aids is a loser.

Workaholics is great.
Community is good.

I'd also suggest Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, and How I Met Your Mother if you haven't seen them.

Tried getting into Psych but the comedy was too clinical for my liking. When it comes to humorous psychological manipulation shows, I prefer subtleties in the humour with a hint of cynicism and sarcasm, like The Mentalist or Sherlock.

You might also want to give Arrested Development a look.

I can't comment on most of the OP listed ones, I'm kind of annoyed by the whole detective thing that's on every channel.

Community is amazing if you watch from Episode 1 and enjoy hilarity.

Workaholics is a less subtle humor than Community, but is so ridiculous it's amazing.

The League is just raunchy and awesome.

Older How I Met Your Mother seasons are really good, and they have all of them on Netflix. Now it's kind of shitty and I just want it to end.

On more of a drama note, there's an alien show on TNT called "Falling Skies" that I really enjoy. They just wrapped up Season 2 a few weeks ago. There's also a show called Revolution starting, but I don't know how good that's going to be.

Uh...that's about it. If you like watching people cook food, Hell's Kitchen and Masterchef are cool, and their food looks good :(

It's mediocrity at it's finest dude. Disagree? Good. Someone has to watch that trash.

Badass show, can't wait for it to come back. Come into the nWo forums and post on the show there with your favorite moment if you want, champ.

The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones are probably my two favorite shows currently. While Walking Dead is on cable, Game Of Thrones is on HBO so i may be difficult to see, but it is well worth it. It is based off a series of novels, which i am currently starting to read, they are quite awesome.

Mainstream reminded me of HBO existing hah. Two shows on HBO that are good::::::

Entourage: Not the greatest quality show, but a cool show about guys just being friends. If you don't expect amazing storylines from it, you'll be satisfied. Jeremy Piven steals the show and is amazing in it though.

Eastbound and Down: Hilarious show. Only like 21 episodes and 3 seasons (with a 4th one coming next year), but it's hilarious. Danny McBride plays a washed up baseball player who becomes a high school gym coach and tries to get back into the Major Leagues. If you don't like baseball, don't worry, it's barely about baseball.

The two above posts are right on also. So many good shows. Anyone seen the River? Also a great show, and only just started up.

Yeah I watch both, I love them! Looking forward to Game Of Thrones returning next year.
