This is a question that I am not quite sure about and thought about numerous times.

If Triple H was not injured for the major part of 2001 what role would he have played in the InVasion Era?

would he have been on the WWF side of things? Seeing as not too long before he was injured he was with Vince as the 'Two Man Power Trip'
or would he have sided with his 'wife' over on the Alliance?

What do you think

Also the same question can be asked for Chris Benoit....

Benoit: WWE, no doubt.

HHH: I think he would have been part of one of the betrayals. Either screwing over team WWE to join the Alliance or possibly being the one to cost the Alliance the big SSeries match...

Hard to say he'd have played a main part, because he was a MUCH bigger deal when he returned in Jan02 than he was when he got injured in May 01.

I think about this all the time. I think Triple H would have possibly turned face and have feuded with Austin over the title. I watched the Triple H vs Kane Judgment day 01 match where Austin accidently hit HHH with a chair and cost HHH the title even though HHH helped Austin retain against taker later that night and the next night on raw where they lost the tag titles and HHH got injured, HHH hit Austin with the sledgehammer accidently and cost them the match so i saw tension building there. If HHH hadnt been injured, the Invasion angle wouldnt have been rushed so fast and the whole angle wouldve played out completely different. Chris Jericho also would not have won the Undisputed title at Vengeance probably.

I have alot of problems with the Invasion angle but I dont think it was as much of a failure as everyone says it was. Its just sad that WWE rushed starting the angle because HHH and Benoit were injured. WWE couldve had some more filler angles and have other things happen instead of going into the invasion angle right away. The Invasion angle potentially could have been the most successful angle of all time

Nah, I don't think the undisputed title plans would have changed as that was effectively the end of the Invasion storyline and signalled the start of the, new, undisputed title storyline (which kinda concluded with the brand split).

Incidentally, I dunno whether to believe it or not, but according to Kurt Angle, it was initially HE who was gonna be the first ever undisputed champ, but plans were changed cos they needed to cemenet another ME-er as by that time it had become clear that both Austin & Rock's days were numbered.

Interestingly, Angle never got a sniff at that accolade before the belts were split again.

You may have a point about HHH/Austin, but to be honest they'd only just put a 5 or 6 month fued to bed, so not a Two Man Power Trip split stroyline would have run for very long and would probably have just blended in within the rest of the Invasion stroyline seeing HH & Austin on different sides.
