That last sentence is insane
No, it's simply where the big boys play.

Also it was the whole "Inmates running the asylum" type of thing at that point, iirc

I love Kevin Nash to death as a performer as a person as a Podcasters but that man never should’ve touched a book, whether be the book or a book.

Kevin Nash, famously, hates actually wrestling, so he probably figured viewers hated it too and wanted to watch him and his buddies dicking around instead. That did not help the ratings
From his interviews I believe the man was just completely checked out at that point

Funny how history kind of repeated except the new company did the opposite of what WCW did lol.

tbf... I think something like "Behind the Wolfpac" would've done killer numbers, if it'd happen about 12-20 years later. :lol

Nash also blame injuries and while they were quite a few injuries when he took over the book it does not excuse his cards. Go back and read a Nitro’s from like June 1999 and see the absolute trash that he was putting on TV when he had a lot of really great workers to use that he just wasn’t booking because he didn’t like them . Whether it be the radicals, Jericho, fuck or whoever. Just was not booking them but Horace Hogan would get a match every week.

What are you talkin' about... Horace Hogan was a megastar by name association alone.

When Buff Bagwell started to be a genuine highlight of TV that was when WCW had reached its lowest lows. Even Russo wasn't that bad

I actually didn’t mind the logo change or the new set for nitro that looks like that logo but you can pretty much tell when Nitro falls off a cliff when you see the new set. Like you can go back and watch a Nitro’s from the end of February 1999, and is still a relatively good show that mostly looks the way it did in 1998, but would jump forward to like the beginning of May and it’s a night and day difference in product.

Sidenote... You know that TNA truly is back, when people start talking about WCW in length in a TNA thread. :lol

I would argue that TNA is still more WCW's successor than AEW ever is or will be. I t was literally all ex WCW guys + the X division

Fucking help Bret Hart was begging to be put on TV and Nash was like no you’re not a star. Like what. Mind you this is before his brother dies in May and then he was given time off for that but fucking hell.
