BACKSTAGE HEAT ON TESSA BLANCHARD?
A new report suggests that some people within TNA are unhappy with Tessa Blanchard continuing to work for CMLL
According to Dave Meltzer, concerns were raised after Blanchard competed against Persephone for the CMLL World Women’s Championship during WrestleMania weekend.
The issue reportedly stems from the complicated relationships between WWE, TNA, AAA, AEW and CMLL, with TNA’s partnership with WWE placing the company on the opposite side of the ongoing AAA vs. CMLL rivalry
The report claims that some TNA officials would prefer their talent not work for CMLL, particularly when it involves sharing the ring with talent connected to AEW.
Blanchard has been appearing for CMLL since 2025 and has become a regular presence in Arena Mexico, making the situation even more interesting.
With wrestling partnerships becoming increasingly complicated, talent are often finding themselves caught in the middle of promotional politics.
As of now, Tessa remains a member of the TNA roster, but the report has sparked plenty of discussion about how much freedom wrestlers should have to work elsewhere.
