Also entertaining the idea that talent losing to MJF or anyone really as the actual reason is silly tbh. We know that's not true and just bc Carlos Silva lies and says it is doesn't mean we then need to ask logical questions like Blaze has done lol it's wild to you bc it's simply a lie
That probably is true yeah. :lol like it made no sense at all to me. So it just not even being the reason makes more sense.

For me, it would be. I don’t know what the higher ups would say. I think, we had already determined because we’re the tag champions at TNA, we determined we weren’t going to do an AEW team early on with House of Glory. Maybe anybody but them. I don’t think AEW could do it anyway because if they get in the ring with the GOATs, they’re probably not going to win and I think they have to win,” Hardy said with a laugh.

I wanna say he got paid nice too right before Scott got fired...allegedly one of their issues was Scott wanted to pay talent more so they'd stay lol and yeah I don't really think it's anything to hold against him to not boycott over this, he doesn't take many indie bookings

Some more comments pulled from Fightful quotes

Tony Khan:

“I was surprised because with MJF and Ricochet, they both talked to me about the matches. I said it was okay and they both told me everybody had gotten it approved. I guess somebody on the other side must’ve changed their mind, which is fine, they are entitled to do that. It doesn’t really change what we’re doing in AEW, but I know Max and Ricochet were both looking forward to their respective matches. I guess something might’ve changed. It sounds like it did. Hopefully, those guys are able to figure it out and put those together because the fans want to see those matches."

Nic Nemeth (again), I can see him being done with TNA after this when he's talked up so much about how he likes that they let him do whatever he wants outside of their time. And he keeps saying he's going to make the MJF match happen, well only one way to lol

“A lot of things happened at once. I was out of the country doing a couple of UK dates and I found out that a couple of different things were happening. Our President, Carlos Silva, is very open when it comes to a lot of things. Behind the scenes deals, some things that people don’t always know about, ‘we’re trying to make this work.’ He’s very open to constantly ‘if this work, this doesn’t work, here’s why I can’t do this thing.’ We got a phone call and he said because of certain deep into contractual obligations, certain companies might have crossover with certain other companies that we are with their rival or streaming service or cable company. He goes, ‘because of the situation, and it’s debatable, and there are a few of them, we have to do the right thing now. It’s going to be a hard choice, but long-term, it covers their butts legally for everything.’ I’m crushed. You can have the business aspect, ‘You’re right, you explained to me and showed me the legal basis why we can’t do this rght now,’ but also, the part where I was like, ‘This is such a cool thing that is going to happen.’ Rarely do you get these special and cool moments with dudes from other companies and generations, in this case both, where you know it’s going to be good and big, and you just can’t get it done. I’m absolutely crushed."

The following statement from Pat Buck was issued to PWInsider.com:

I don’t usually speak on things like this, but this one’s too ridiculous to ignore.

TNA, specifically Carlos Silva, forced a change to the main event of our Create A Pro show three weeks out after it was already approved and promoted.

Not sure who that helps.

Create A Pro is a training school with a promotion focused on developing talent while running consistent live events. We’re a school, dojo, and a mom and pop business… just with two dads.

Live events are a necessary training tool, and they’re disappearing, even at the highest levels, because they’re not as cost effective and the money is in television. In a direct way, we are providing a service for your talent to make $ and keep their skills sharp. Do you not see that ?

We train wrestlers for wrestling companies. And now a wrestling company has stepped in and hurt another wrestling company that helps wrestlers get to wrestling companies. Makes perfect sense. Maybe I’m the one missing something.

I’m annoyed, as it’s hard to ignore how unnecessary, and honestly how cringe, this situation is.

And to be fair, talent wasn’t pulled, but altering a main event match like that on our limited stage has the same impact. Anyone who has actually promoted shows understands that.

When something changes that affects another promoter’s show, you make it right. Whether that means sending talent, strengthening the card, or finding a way to return value, you don’t just create the problem and walk away from it.

That didn’t happen here. And if any attempt is made now to make it right, it’s a bit too late. You meet people with grace, not chaos.

Create A Pro isn’t a competing media company. It’s a training ground that built its own platform to develop talent. No TV deal, no streaming, and we’re not attached to any bigger company, yet.

Between CAP/WrestlePro, we run around 25 events a year and reinvest back into us, our leases, rings, and the equipment needed to put on shows.

Equipment that, at one point, your company needed to rent to operate in this market. And at another point, when your company needed content and additional matches, talent was placed on Create A Pro and WrestlePro shows because there wasn’t enough content to support it. Did anyone let you know about a past positive relationship?

Years ago your company used our students for extra work in a meaningful way. Now it looks more like carrot dangling, ring crew, and helping with catering but that’s an entirely different conversation.

Create A Pro has been a pipeline and a support system to just about every major company in wrestling. Most people know that. (Unless you ask the WWE ID program, then we apparently don’t exist. )

I’m willing to believe Carlos may not know who I am, and that’s fine. But if you’re in an executive position, you should probably understand the room you’re operating in and the etiquette that comes with it. Maybe Tony Khan can give a quick crash course on how to protect your brand while still helping the overall scene. It’s times like this I’m glad to work for someone who actually champions the entire sport, not tries to shrink it.

And yeah, I’m on the payroll but these words are from experience not influence.

At the end of the day, we’ll adjust like we always do. But if the goal is to grow this industry, or even your own company, this isn’t the way to do it.

Keep it up!

It just keeps getting worse for the Silv Man

Speaking to John Pollock & Wai Ting of POST Wrestling, WrestleCon promoter Michael Bochicchio gave his side as to what happened.

“We went directly to Leon’s boss. We went directly to Ricochet’s boss. We told them what the finish of the match would be to protect the individual. A lot of people think, ‘They didn’t want Leon to lose.’ Guys, I’m going to be honest, Leon wasn’t losing. Come up with a different theory on why they pulled him because that had nothing to do with it. The match and finish were cleared,” he said.

Michael said he found out the match was being canceled when he read it online. He then contact the agent for Slater and Ricochet, who confirmed the news to him.

“The first communication I got from TNA was about two hours before their PPV on Saturday. Mr. Silva sent me a text saying he would like to communicate. That was after we changed and replaced the match. I still haven’t spoken to him. I said, ‘Sure, call me anytime.’ I haven’t heard from him,” he said.

While many believe WWE had something to do with the match getting pulled, Michael doesn’t think the match was on WWE’s radar given everything else going on this week.

“I believe Carlos got upset AEW ran on a Thursday, hurt their ratings, and everything changed. That’s my opinion. Maybe WWE has more involvement than we ever thought, but Carlos can say to WWE, ‘Guys, I gave my word on this match. I would like to be able to follow through with my word,'” he said.

Dreamer tried to make jokes about things that piss working wrestlers off and did not like the response he got from a working wrestler about it :lol

On Busted Open Radio, Tommy Dreamer, who works for TNA, and Thunder Rosa, who works for AEW, wondered if they could host together.

Dreamer: Speaking of controversy, are we allowed to host together?

Rosa: Why?

Dreamer: Well, you know….

Rosa: Oh, that. I don’t know, ask your boss. My boss is cool.

Dreamer: I don’t know about that. Bosses aren’t that cool sometimes. It sucks. Hopefully, we’ll get through it, fans.

Rosa: Yeah, we will.

Remember that time they were discussing Flair exposing himself on the Plane Ride from Hell and Dreamer compared it to him having a man bun?

Just tone deaf…
