TNA GENESIS PREDICTION CONTEST
It's the first PPV of the TNA on AMC era, and for some reason it's just two days after the AMC debut! Regardless, predictions are now open for Genesis. Each correct match prediction is worth one point, and in the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be determined by whoever gets closest to the correct answer on our tiebreaker question.

PRIZE: Prediction contest winner gets to choose a participant in a match at TNA's next PPV: Sacrifice!

It’s an exciting time to be a TNA fan. The company is making its biggest strides in years, and I always enjoy seeing how others envision ways to elevate the product. Right off the bat, I have to say -I love the graphics. The use of modern branding with a nostalgic nod to the classic roster pages is a brilliant touch...Also, where's Rosemary?

Road to Genesis Recap:

First Class & Tag Division

Bringing in Ashante as a retcon for Navarro seems like a smart move - it definitely strengthens First Class. I wasn’t a fan of Swann being slotted back in so quickly in real life, especially given his status as a former World Champion. Navarro, once healthy, could be a real asset to the X-Division. This might be a quick push for First Class 3.0, but with a shallow tag division and the Hardys as champs, it’s understandable.

The Righteous are a personal favourite from their ROH days, and I hope they’re treated with the nuance they deserve - not just as a knockoff Wyatt Family. There’s a lot of untapped potential there.

Knockouts Division
Tessa Blanchard’s real-life booking is confusing, and while I understand the hesitation around her, it was great to see her put over Dani Luna. It doesn’t hurt Tessa too much, and Dani’s apparent babyface turn is intriguing. If Lei Ying Lee weren’t so early in her reign, Dani would be a believable next champion.

Victoria Crawford feels like a missed opportunity again - still stuck in the same muddled character from WWE. Indi Hartwell came in hot but cooled quickly, and while I wasn’t sure about her pairing with Dani, I’m hoping they’re being positioned as singles stars who are temporarily teaming.

The Rascalz
The Rascalz storyline is bubbling nicely. With Wez back, four might be a crowd. I never felt Reed was necessary to reform the trio, and I’m not sold on them as a quartet. If this is teasing a Reed singles run, I’m all for it - especially with the subtle hints being dropped.

NXT Outlaws & Santana
I appreciated how quickly the NXT Outlaws were cleared out. The real-life angle lacked motivation and NXT synergy, so stepping away from that partnership makes sense. It also sets up Santana’s title shot against Kazarian nicely.

Gut Check & New Talent
Bringing back Gut Check as a storyline device rather than a novelty segment is a great move. As a big DPW fan, I was gutted to hear about their hiatus, but seeing LaBron Kazone pop up as a potential signing was a bright spot. You also did a great job giving him some depth ahead of his match.

Cedric Alexander & International Title
Cedric Alexander’s booking has been inconsistent, but I’m glad he’s being positioned for the International Title. It’s easily the most successful of TNA’s secondary belts (excluding the X-Division), and I’m excited to see how its prestige continues to grow.

Maclin & Nemeth
Maclin risks being pigeonholed as “the hardcore guy,” which is a shame considering he was once at the top. I think he works better as a heel. Nemeth felt like a big get for TNA that fizzled, but this feud gives both men something meaningful. Hopefully, the winner gets a real push.

Impact's AMC Debut:

Launching on a new network while building toward a PPV is no easy feat. Opening with the Hardys was a smart move to hook casual viewers, and First Class’s appearance showcased the talent you’ve acquired. Sinner and Saint have potential, but they need more character development. I loved The Righteous’ post-match promo. At one point, I thought they might recruit Sinner and Saint. That would’ve been a fascinating twist.

Fun little tease from Santino’s phone call. It could be just about anything at this point, which keeps things exciting.

Mustafa Ali is one of those “what could’ve been” talents. I like his current gimmick, though Order 4 might be veering into parody. That said, you could lean into it and turn him into a power-mad tyrant no one dares challenge. I loved him declaring his intentions. The Great Hands could be a solid team if they weren’t constantly jobbing, and Tasha Steelz deserves better - she’s a former champ. I’m glad you’re giving the whole stable some shine, not just Ali.

The IInspiration vs. The Elegance Brand is a fun feud. There’s room to grow this division beyond just pairing up singles stars. The IInspiration had great digital content in WWE, and The Elegance Brand has potential - though losing Ash hurt. Still, there’s strong character work to be done here. The IInspiration sticking around is a smart call. They’ve yet to have a truly memorable moment since returning (aside from winning the belts) so there’s still room for that defining moment.

Maclin beating Ryan was expected, but Ryan Nemeth plays his role well. The DQ finish adds intrigue. Ryan gets flattened, but Nic still gets his moment.

I nearly forgot about Mara Sade, but she’s got real potential as a future Knockouts star. Mila Moore is another promising addition, though I’m eager to see more from her and where she’s headed.

Mance Warner is another who risks being typecast as the “hardcore guy,” but there’s potential, especially with SDL managing him while injured. I like Elijah, but he still feels too close to Elias. It’d be great to see both men develop distinct identities and direction.

I also really enjoyed the Knockouts Championship hype package. It added weight to the division and helped build anticipation. And again, great work spotlighting Kozone ahead of his Gut Check match.

It was interesting that the world title feud wasn’t the main event. I get that the X-Division title was on the line - and as one of TNA’s original calling cards, it’s a nice homage for the network debut. Plus, Leon Slater is red-hot right now. Still, I was surprised The System’s segment came before the main event.

The main event swerve was a fun twist. I’m still convinced something’s going on with Reed. The Je’Von Evans reveal felt like a great hook for modern fans - especially those who still follow WWE and are giving TNA another shot.

Overall, I thought the show was strong. It might not have been a “power play” like the first Monday Night War 2.0 Impact, but that’s okay. You don’t need to show your hand too early. This felt like a show that’s building toward the PPV (something I didn’t feel with the real-life AMC debut, where it and Genesis felt like two separate entities).

As I said, I’m genuinely excited to see where you take this project. Wishing you the best of luck!

Predictions for Genesis:

  • Nic Nemeth def. Steve Maclin
  • LaBron Kozone def. Brian Myers
  • Cedric Alexander def. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo (TNA International Championship)
  • Lei Ying Lee def. Karmen Petrovic (TNA Knockouts World Championship)
  • The Hardys def. First Class (TNA World Tag Team Championship)
  • Leon Slater & Je’Von Evans def. The Rascalz
  • Mike Santana def. Frankie Kazarian (TNA World Heavyweight Championship)

Tiebreaker:
How many wrestlers not booked on the card will appear on the show? (Must interfere in or after a match, cut a promo, join commentary, etc. Managerial roles do not count.)

Answer: 7
