Alfredo 2 is phenomenal, I gave it a full listen thru when it first dropped, but I haven't revisited it. Def gonna dive back into it later today. Also me and my boy were talking about the first Alfredo like a few months back and we came to the realization that it's Alfredo because Al (ALC) - Fredo (Freddie). Literally right over my head and I loved that first album
To be fair, it seems that went over a lot people's heads. And also to be fair, Alfredo just sounds like a Gibbs/Alchemist project, didn't necessarily need a second meaning when he has other albums like Bandana and Pinata which, to my knowledge, don't really mean anything significant. But, I've seen some reactors on YouTube be like "this album is called Alfredo 2 but there's ramen on the front?" which I understand would be confusing if you weren't privy.

Also just remembered to mention for those who wouldn't know, Freddie Gibbs also has two collab albums with Madlib (of Madvillain) that are also considered classics by many. Piñata and Bandana. Tough for me to say how I rank his albums because I love both Alfredos, Piñata, Bandana, You Only Die 2wice and also Soul Sold Seperately... I would say he puts out quality albums at maybe the most consistent rate of anyone in the game over the last decade or so.

At first glance I thought it was BROCKHAMPTON for some reason but then realized it’s Flatbush Zombies. I remember listening to them before, I think this album and thought it was fine at the time but it didn’t hit for me. I had heard of them because of Big E talking about them and wearing their t shirts.
It was their second I had listened to before, which didn’t vibe with me at the time. This one I definitely vibed with and I dug the psychedelic sounds to it.

i’m starting to feel like a broken record here, but with this album it just was too slow for me. I guess I like my hip-hop like I used to like my drugs more of an upper guy than a downer guy. At times during the beginning of the album has flow didn’t seem to match the beats kind of fell off to me and there’s no real bangers to me. Overall it’s fine just not something I feel the need for more. Feels more and more like I’m out of touch with what the younger crowd likes in hip hop. Which considering my age is probably pretty normal. His voice is great though I just like to hear what he’d do with a more upbeat flow. All in all it’s probably a 6 for me.

Be like that sometimes, he definitely doesn't make upbeat music but perhaps this is something more along the lines of what you'd like to hear (or maybe not)

Anyways, it's okay to not care that much for shit. I've yet to hear an album in this thread that truly excited me, but I still like the exposure to other things and maybe if I hear the album on the right day, I might find something I really dig.

I definitely liked it and am glad I listened to it. I would still rate it higher than anything else so far as well. But yeah, I still haven't been totally blown away, you'll know when it happen though lol
