The Ravens has got their new head coach:
I'm very surprised that Sean McDermott wasn't hired by the team.

McDermott not going to the Ravens and the Steelers having their eye on others apparently.....it's shocking to me that it's looking like he wont be going to either team.

Who else is there? Raiders? Cardinals? Browns? Could Tom Brady get McDermott for the Raiders?

I think Tom Brady should push McDermott to be the new head coach of the Raiders since he's the best coach available. I mean why not? He's taken the Bills to the playoffs for 7 out of 8 seasons (seven straight seasons from 2019-2025), not many coaches has taken their team to the playoffs those consecutive years. So if I was Brady, I would make the decision to hire him. And hey, since Fernando Mendoza's likely the #1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, it should be a new breath of fresh air for the organization if everything falls into place.

I feel for the Bills fans out there if this becomes a reality and I'm a Patriots fan. Seems like a waste of Josh Allen.

Well that would be one way of making sure that Rivers doesn't come out of retirement and play for the Colts again next year....hire him as the HC. lol I don't know...that would seem such a leap for Philip. High School coach to HC of the Buffalo Bills. Although would be very entertaining for the HC to smack talk the other team on the sideline.

Worst decisions ever. Hope he is fired by the preseason

This just screams of treading water and doing the same crap all over again.

Should have hired Shula or Steelhouse

Needs to be flushed unless Scheelhouse is going to be OC/Head coach in waiting this is a stupid hire.

He was probably considered but they havent had a defensive mind at the HC position yet as it was all offense and special teams guys.

NFL even has it on the website now. McCarthy heading to the Steelers. In the long run I don't think that it's a good move. It's the Steelers. The team that has so few HCs. Their fans wanted Tomlin gone even though the team has consistently gone to the playoffs. So they hire McCarthy in his place who had red flags after he left the Packers? He didn't get the Cowboys over that hump when he was in Dallas either and he is pals with Jerry Jones. So how would Pittsburgh be any different? Especially when there isn't a clear future QB in place there.... You're putting that on McCarthy? The fact that they got Rodgers last year and possibly this...makes the Steelers look like they are getting the Packers old expired leftovers. It's a step back from Tomlin if anything because at least Tomlin had proven that he can get the team to the playoffs even with QBs who are way past their prime.

Other teams are hiring younger HCs and the Steelers are possibly going from one old HC who they had for a long time to another who hasn't had success in the NFL in a really long time. Makes no sense. Gives the vibes of being complacent.
