Listening to the Reds vs Dodgers game now because I can't watch it on TV since it's on cable. Every Bengals game is broadcast on local TV even if it's a cable TV game, and that includes preseason.

Aaaaaaaand that's the inning. Fielder's choice at the plate, strikeout, and a strikeout of De La Cruz. Zero runs. Typical Reds.

A pitching change and a batter change in the middle of an at bat, no injuries. Weird.

Teams would kill to sign him, especially teams like the Dodgers or Yankees that would be happy to further strengthen their bullpen.

Alonso is a first baseman lol

Yankees already have Rice and Goldschmidt, though Goldie was only a one year signing but regardless, Pete isn’t gonna be a part timer so now you have 3 guys for first baseman, still 2 if Goldie’s gone and sitting Rice regularly would be dumb.

Rice could be the regular catcher but I’m not sure they’d have Wells as a full on back up, unless he agrees to do so. Rice is easily the better player but Wells is also not a terrible catcher, though his batting average is not great. I suppose if Wells agrees to be back up and knows he’d sit a lot more, it could work, cuz they’d be stupid to sit Rice often.

Goldschmidt is also a great player, you don’t want to be sitting him regularly throughout the year so even if they kept him, sitting one of the best players to keep Alonso who is also great on first regularly….that would be silly.

If they Yankees could make it work I’d be all over that, it would be great to have him, it’s just a matter of how to work it.

Dodgers have Freeman for 1B, no way they’d be replacing him, that would be silly.

I was being sarcastic mentioning the Yankees and Dodgers because they're already stacked on talent from top to bottom and already has first basemen.

The Braves don't need him because we already have Olson and signing him would overshadow his position at first base, the Blue Jays has Vlad Guerrero Jr., the Phillies has Bryce Harper, the Mariners has Josh Naylor, though he was voted All-Star last season with the Guardians, though it's possible that they may sign Alonso, the Red Sox could sign him since they need a legit first basemen. And BTW, the teams I've mentioned, sans the Braves, are the teams that are in the playoffs. He would like to play for a team that are in the playoffs, or almost made it to the playoffs.

All in all, he's a hot free agent in the off-season, somebody that's a playoff contender will sign him, not teams like the White Sox, Rockies, the A's or even the Nationals because they're bad teams.

Not gonna lie if the Phillies didn't have to break the Bank for Schwarber to resign him I wouldn't mind Alonso at First Base and Harper back to the Outfield. Which could make them try to trade Casty for a piece or a Bullpen add. I'm so psyched for Saturday my body is in so much pain working hard for the Weekend I want beat the Dodgers asses badly.
