Anyone else impressed by this guy? He's come a long way. If I were watching Real World, or the Real World/Road Rules challenges with him on their, I would have never though he would succeed in wrestling. He was the annouying guy host guy that got "go away we don't want you here" heat.

After he was drafted to ECW, he got alot better. Became one of WWE's best tag teams along with Morrison. When they spilt, I thought that Miz would get lost in the shuffle, boy was I wrong. He's alright in the ring (although his finishers are meh) and great on the mic. He gets the most heat on the RAW roster out of anybody. His transition from annouying host, to the chick magnet, to being Awesome has been good to watch. If WWE plays their cards right, get the foot out of their with having the same guys in the main event, The Miz could one day be headlining WM going in as WWE or World champ.

What are your thoughts on The Miz?

I still struggle to imagine him a world champ BUT if he keeps on improving at the rate he has then I think it's pretty damn likely.

Respect is defo due... The progress he has made is really quite remarkable.

I was actually about to create a thread for the Miz yesterday too. I'll admit, during the Mizorrison days I was aboard the Morrison band wagon and really didn't see much happening for the Miz once they split.
Since Miz came to RAW I have to admit I greatly prefer him to Morrison. The guy has been the highlight of the show since his open invitation to Cena months back. We all know how shitty that ended for him but it didn't kill his momentum at all. He's been improving both in ring and on the mic at an incredible rate. He draws more heat than Orton at times. To say he's future world champ material at this point really isn't much of stretch IMO.
He's still honing his gimmick and I don't think we've seen fraction of what this guy can really do.

And I'm going to go right ahead and say it...
If Morrison reminds people of a young HBK.
Miz reminds ME of a young Jericho.

The Miz has a good character and energy. He is good on the mic and can make an arena hate him. But he is just average in the ring sorry. Plus miz is no where near where Jericho was years and years ago. In fact even when Jericho was a baby he was better than the miz. Sorry Noumenon.

I'm not saying he's up to par with Jericho's in ring skills. But just his aura and persona. Young, cocky arrogant and annoying. Getting in everyones face and drawing massive amounts of heat just from being generally annoying.
I honestly don't think he's that bad in the ring TBH. He's actually pretty damn good IMO. Hey for guy who used to be on Real World cutting promos into a mirror he's come a long fucking way...and I think he still has a lot further to go.

The Miz has vastly improved before he was teamed with Morrison I could care less for him he was just imo a annoying reality show person but as he progressed with morrison I saw his Mic and Ring skills greatly improve, I also do not ever see him as a legit world champion but he could be a great staple in the WWE mid-card for years to come

I prefer The Miz to John Morrison. I am sorry, but Morrison is practically just over as a face because of his fancy moveset, and he'll begin to lose some of those moves eventually, and considering how his "basic moves": punches, uppercuts, all suck, unless he gets respect ovations he has an expiral date already.

Miz wrestles like a main eventer already, is way more charismatic than John and just by mic skills alone could go toe to toe with other current main eventers.

In all and all, both will be main eventers in about 2 or 3 years. But WWE will find themselves giving the belt more to The Miz (granted, as a transitional champion but still), than Morrison.

Miz wrestles as a main eventer? Ok i cannot see that somehow. Yeah Morrison along with bourne and Benjamin is a show pony. But miz is more grounded etc which is great. But as a life long wwe fan miz is generic in the ring and average. Yeah he has come a long way, yeah he is like the old Jericho cocky wise. But like i said in the ring i think he needs more work.

^I think you should check out a little more of Miz's in ring work. Especially over the past few months.

Agreed, I always liked The Miz more then Morrison during the Mizorrison days, imo Morrison tries way to hard to be like HBK in the ring and his face character is fail. imo

But you think Swagger can, who is basically the same style with a submission hold thrown in there. Miz has come a long, long way from being the cocky guy that got X-Pac heat. He's developed a solid moveset and has really worked on his skills, which demands at least some respect. Alot of other guys that have been given the same sort of thing have obviously not had the dedication and desire that the Miz has.

And don't compare Miz to Jericho. Jericho started in the early 90's in Canada, and did CMLL in 92. Wrestling with guys like Silver King, Negro Casas and Ultimo Dragon, on top of a 13 month NWA reign in 93, when he was only 23, is going to quickly develop your skills. Throw in some fantastic matches with the WAR promotion in Japan in 94 with guys like Ultimo at their prime, as well as his Super J cup match with Benoit in 95. Hell, the quality of the guys that Jericho faced in WCW (Malenko, Juvi, Rey) is much above the quality that Miz has to learn from.

Yep im liking Miz. He has vastly improved since he entered the WWE ring. I hated him at first and it wasn't heat i really didnt like him. To me he was a major reality star prick. But then he teamed with JoMo and he started to come on. In the ring and on the mic. Then he came to Raw and since then he has been getting better and better each week. And i really think he could hold his own with the Main Event big guns.

@Kizza... again I'm not saying he's on par with Jericho's in ring work, experience or anything like that (I couldn't think of many right now who are)...simply that his persona and they way he carries himself is reminiscent of a younger Jericho. The thing I like about Miz the fact that he is trying to create his own character and gimmick and really make a name for himself. It's incredible that the character the guy was working on while on Real World he actually carried through with and made it work! I think Morrison is kind of riding that HBK comparison to the max right now and his gimmick seriously one of my least favorite in the company.
So yeah, not going that in depth with the Jericho comparison... simply that he carries himself like a young Jericho...aura, mic and personality wise.

I know, LKP was comparing him ring wise.

Miz is a 99-00 style Jericho.
