TAG TEAM BOTS - General Discussion Thread

Quick information about the system we'll play, IF we get to and stay on 9 teams. (Cereal Killer has shown interest in joining and Crocker wants to play as well, so hopefully that works out)

As I said in the sign-up thread, I'd prefer 10 teams, but I have a plan for a 9-team setup. It would entail the following:
- We'd play 10 rounds
- Every team will be facing every other team once (in the first 9 rounds)
- Every team will have one bye round (Before the competition starts I will let an (non-AI) online tool determine which team has their bye round on which topic)
- The final round will be all 3-Way-Dances with a different point system in place (Will disclose that during the competition)

I don't think so, I just tagged a couple of random people who seem to be active on the forum.

BOTS aka Battle of the Songs basically is a competition about music. I put a short summary in the Sign-Up thread, which is:

BOTS is a competition in which participants send in songs that fit to the theme of the active round. The participants are sorted into individual one-on-one matches in those rounds and after all the songs are posted, everyone has to vote for either song in all matches plus their overall Top Three songs. Participants are not allowed to vote for their own songs in the matches or the Top Threes and the participant who got more votes in their match, gets 3 points for the win.

That's the basic gist of it, but what we will do is adding a Tag Team twist to the concept with this one. I suggest you look at the sign-up info thread (and maybe the last BOTS season threads, just for getting the vibe of it) and see if it makes sense and might be something for you. There are two spots for players left, aka one whole team.

That's fine, we'd have to find you a tag partner in that case anyways.

Yea... it's what I didn't wanted to happen, but with 9 teams that was my contingency plan. Maybe if we find someone to team up with Poyser, we'll get around it.
