I think he was just looking off into the wild blue yonder but I'll take a closer look when I go see it again tomorrow. I'd like to know what the stuff on the ground is that Rey looks at and then walks past as she heads up the steps to meet Luke.

I'm sure there's already a ton of slash fiction on the subject. To be fair, they did seem pretty eager to hug and kind of gave each other the old bedroom eyes before the big final battle.
