Tucson Sun (2026/2027 Season)

The 2026/2027 campaign marks the grand opening of the club’s purpose-built oasis. With a roster heavily influenced by South American flair and young European loanees, Tucson Sun is built for technical, high-speed football designed to wear down opponents in the Arizona heat.

Infrastructure: Sol Stadium

  • Capacity: 15,000 (Expandable to 20,000)
  • Architectural Blueprint: The stadium is a direct adaptation of the Populous-designed Santa Fe Yards in Denver. It features a stunning, sweeping canopy that provides shade to three sides of the stadium while keeping the south side open to showcase views of the Tucson mountain range.
  • Aesthetics: True to the "Sun" moniker, the stadium is a masterpiece of Vibrant Orange. Every seat is orange-contoured, and the exterior LED mesh glows a deep sun-burnt orange on match nights.
  • The Atmosphere: The design emphasizes "stadium in a park" urban integration. The "Solar End" (north) is a steep, single-tier wall of sound designed to trap noise under the canopy, creating a deafening "Desert Cauldron" for visiting teams.
  • Premium Experience: Mirrors the Denver plan with high-end premium amenities and a "recreational district" that flows directly into the stadium's promenade.

Tactical Outlook: "Nocerino’s Solar Flare"

Antonio Nocerino will implement a high-tempo 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2. The midfield is the engine of the team, with Daniel Cabral, Bryant Ortega and Diego Rosa providing international-level vision and technical ability . This allows the explosive Matías Segovia and the creative Lucas Chavez to operate in high-value areas. With the towering Leonardo Rocha available for aerial dominance, Tucson Sun will be a multifaceted threat that is equally dangerous in possession and on the break.

Glendale Monsoon (2026/2027 Season)

The 2026/2027 campaign marks the birth of a new sporting power in Glendale. With a brand identity centered on Maroon, White, and Gold, the club is positioning itself as the premier technical side in the Western expansion.

The lightning has struck in the West Valley. Glendale Monsoon is officially set for its debut year in the NASL West Conference 1, bringing a high-octane brand of soccer to one of the most sophisticated venues in the league.

Backed by the administrative might of Michael Bidwill and the Arizona Cardinals, the Monsoon are entering the league with "Big Club" infrastructure from day one. Under the direction of Tab Ramos and the tactical aggression of Hernán Losada, this is a club built to storm the standings immediately.

Infrastructure: Monsoon Stadium

  • Grand Opening: June 2026
  • Capacity: 16,500
  • Architectural Inspiration: Based on the Minami Nagano Sports Park Stadium (Nagano U Stadium) in Japan. The stadium features a rectangular "Zen" design with steep, two-tier stands that nearly touch the pitch.
  • The "V-Roof": The signature element is the cantilevered roof that covers the West, North, and East stands but leaves the South stand shorter and visually open, providing a "Mountain View" backdrop while funneling noise back onto the field.
  • Branding: The maroon and gold palette is integrated into the structural steel and seating, giving the venue a prestige, collegiate-meets-pro feel that fits the Bidwill legacy.

Tactical Outlook: "The Pressure Peak"

In their debut NASL West 1 season, the Monsoon will play a aggressive 4-2-2-2 or 3-4-2-1. The recruitment of Manuel Keliano and Gustavo Assunção creates a "Luso-Brazilian" midfield engine room that will protect the expensive Kaique Rocha in defense. The creative burden falls on Lincoln, who will look to use his Champions League experience to unlock defenses for the physical Ronaldo Tavares. Expect a debut year characterized by relentless running and high-scoring matches.

Infrastructure: Fuego Stadium (The Chinatown Cauldron)

  • Opening: May 2026
  • Capacity: 21,500
  • Design Philosophy: Loosely based on the iconic Estadio George Capwell in Ecuador. It features four distinct, unconnected stands that create a high-pressure atmosphere.
  • The "Premium Side": The side stands have been modified from the Capwell design to be slightly smaller in footprint but packed with ultra-premium suites and glass-fronted hospitality lounges.
  • Chinatown Integration: The stadium is a cornerstone of the Chinatown district's revitalization, featuring a modern-industrial facade that honors the area’s history while providing the Central Valley with a massive, cathedral-like soccer venue.

Tactical Outlook: "The Martínez Transition"

Diego Martínez will likely deploy a fluid 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 diamond. The full-back pairing of Orejuela and Riveros is arguably the best in the league, providing constant width. In the center, Alan Soñora will pull the strings, feeding the explosive Kenneth Vargas and the technical Fidel Barajas. Expect a team that is extremely disciplined defensively but devastatingly quick in transition, using the "Cauldron" atmosphere to overwhelm visitors.

Infrastructure: Orchard View Stadium

  • Capacity: 10,500
  • Design Philosophy: Directly inspired by the CPKC Stadium in Kansas City. It is a purpose-built, soccer-specific venue situated on the riverfront, designed with a focus on intimacy and fan proximity to the pitch.
  • Aesthetics: The stadium incorporates "Cream City" brickwork and Forest Green structural accents to match the club’s branding, creating a timeless, classic Iowa aesthetic.
  • The Atmosphere: The South Stand is a steep, safe-standing terrace dedicated to the "Orchard Watch" supporters, ensuring that the 10,500-capacity venue feels much larger and more intimidating than its footprint suggests.

Tactical Outlook: "The Iowa Engine"

Brian Clarhaut is expected to implement a disciplined 4-2-3-1 that relies on high-energy wing play and a creative playmaker in the #10 role. Andrés Souper and Chandler O'Dwyer will be the primary creative engines, feeding the Brazilian flair of Marcos Dias. Defensively, the experienced Shannon Gomez and Ezra Armstrong provide a rugged, no-nonsense backline. With the legendary Solomon Asante providing veteran leadership and goal-scoring threat off the wing, Des Moines will be a nightmare for visiting teams.

Infrastructure: The Star-Dome (Malšovická Design)

  • Capacity: 10,500
  • Architectural Blueprint: Inspired by the Malšovická aréna in the Czech Republic, the stadium features an iconic "Lollipop" floodlight design and a continuous, sleek wrap-around facade.
  • The "South Sound Canopy": The stadium is designed with a heavy, cantilevered roof to shield fans from the PNW rain, ensuring the 10,500 seats remain dry while trapping in the noise of the "Tacoma Tifosi."
  • Urban Integration: Much like its Czech counterpart, the stadium is built to be a multi-use civic hub, serving as the heart of Tacoma's revitalization project.

Tactical Outlook: "The Emerald Press"

Paulo Nagamura will implement an aggressive 4-3-3 that relies on the pace of the wide players. With the marquee loan of Mason Holgate anchoring the defense, the Stars have a ball-playing center-back capable of launching long-range attacks. The midfield, led by former Sounders Sota Kitahara and Dylan Teves, will focus on quick interchanges and high-intensity recovery. Up front, the physical presence of Levonte Johnson and the seasoned finishing of Chisom Egbuchulam make Tacoma a clinical threat on the counter-attack.

The 2025/2026 offseason has officially become the "Great Winter Bridge" for North American soccer. As the MLS, USL, and CPL transition toward a historic alignment with the global soccer calendar, the winter of 2025 saw an unprecedented volume of short-term loans across the Atlantic.

The Strategic Loan Surge

With the 2025 season concluding in late autumn and the 2026 campaign not kicking off in full until May 2026, sporting directors faced a potential six-month fitness gap for their rosters. To combat this, nearly 65% of the league's elite talent was placed on temporary assignment in Europe.

  • Maintaining Match Rhythm: The primary goal was to ensure that players remained in "match-fit" condition for the May restart and the subsequent 2026 World Cup preparations.
  • The "Beckham Model" at Scale: While short-term winter loans (like David Beckham to AC Milan or Landon Donovan to Everton) were once rare exceptions, they became the standard operating procedure for the 2025/2026 transition.
  • Return Dates: Per the NASL and MLS collective agreements, all players on winter loans are mandated to return to their North American parent clubs by May 20, 2026, for a condensed three-week "Spring Training" before the season begins.

EPILOGUE
We Say Goodbye

Las Vegas, January 2026.
The city was alive in a way only fight week could create. Hotels full. Media everywhere. Fighters moving through lobbies like main characters in their own stories. For Bellator LLC, it was the moment everything had been building toward.
For Matthew Manson, it felt like the end.

️ The Final Week

“The ONE” fight week had delivered exactly what it was supposed to.

Momentum. Attention. Validation.

Manson moved through it all quietly—meetings, handshakes, brief conversations—but without the urgency that had defined the previous year. There were no fires to put out. No deals to close at the last minute.

That work had already been done.

On fight night, inside the Michelob Ultra Arena, he took his seat ringside.
Front row.
Not as an operator. Not as the man pulling the strings.

Just as an observer.
The lights dimmed. The broadcast began. And as the event unfolded, it became clear—Bellator LLC didn’t need him anymore.
That wasn’t a concern.
It was the point.

The Structure Was Complete

By January 2026, everything was in place.
  • Bellator MMA under John Martin
  • Bellator Boxing under Garry Jonas
  • NWPW fully alive and under daily management by Shane McMahon, Harold Meji and Cary Silkin
Each division had its own leadership. Its own systems. Its own direction.

Above them all, reporting lines were clear—ultimately leading back to Bill Ackman and Pershing Square Capital Management.
The ecosystem no longer needed a builder.

It needed executives.

The Builder’s Mindset

Manson had always known this moment would come.
He wasn’t a long-term operator.
He was a builder.

Starting in Hong Kong with the rebirth of the Hong Kong and Macau League System, to Project 26, building the new MLS / NASL Soccer Pyramid since 2015.

Since the late 2010s, the idea had been forming—a new kind of wrestling organisation. Structured. Global. Sport-driven. Something different.

That idea had become New World Pro-Wrestling.

From there, it expanded.
Acquisitions. Negotiations. Alignments. The creation of Bellator LLC itself.
What started as a concept had become a functioning system spanning three combat sports.
There was satisfaction in that.

But not attachment.

Time to Move On

For Manson, the next chapter had already begun—long before this one officially ended.

Property development.

Los Angeles.
Las Vegas.
The Middle East.

Real assets. Real infrastructure. Projects that existed beyond broadcast schedules and event calendars.
The same principles applied—vision, timing, execution.
But it was different.
And that was the point.

The Quiet Exit

There was no announcement.

No press release.
No farewell speech.
Just a gradual, deliberate step away.

The teams were in place.
The leadership was established.
The reporting structure was clear.

Manson’s role had reduced to almost nothing—by design.
He had seen it through to the moment it could stand on its own.
And then, he let go.

The Real Achievement

Bellator LLC wasn’t just another promotion.
It was proof of concept.

That you could build:
  • A global wrestling organisation
  • A rebranded MMA platform
  • A competitive boxing entity
And align them under one vision.
For Manson, that was enough.

The End of an Era

As the streamers came down over Okada in the ring and the crowd inside the Michelob Ultra Arena rose to its feet.

Manson stayed seated for a moment longer.

Taking it in.

Not the whole event —but the system behind it.
Then he stood.
No entourage. No attention.
Just another figure leaving the arena.

Outside, Las Vegas carried on as it always did.
Inside Bellator LLC, the next phase was already underway.
And for the first time in years, Matthew Manson had nothing left to build there.

It had been an idea.
Then a project.
Then a reality.

Now, it was someone else’s to run.
