Its another free agent signed to an already bloated roster...

Another has-been who will take up even more air time that could be used to help elevate some of the younger guys on the roster.

Besides what can he do? I mean doesn't the WWE own his 'Rob Van Dam' name and trademarks?

Rob Van Dam isn't his real name though. The RVD name is owned by the WWE is it not? Or does he own the copyrights to it?

You can't possibly be that stupid. RVD owns the rights to the name. That's why he will be able to use it in TNA.

I'm pretty sure he owns it. He has a show called RVDTV. Most likely the WWE would come after him if he didn't own it unless they allowed him to use it for the show. But he uses the name everywhere. As for RVD signing I'm fucking excited. He is my favorite wrestler. Hopefully he is in good shape now so he's ready to go. Another huge name for TNA.

1. RVD owns the rights to his name.
2. It's been rumored that the guy was signing with TNA for months now, WTF is the difference if Hogan let it slip out. Just make his debut a nice surprise and stfu.

First I hear that he signed with the wwe, then now I hear he signed with TNA, I'll believe it when I see him enter the Impact Zone.

Oh okay thanks on clarifying the name sake for me.

I don't see what was so major about it leaking out. I mean I am pretty sure he will debut this week or next anyways. I think the 3/8 Impact would be the best time being them switching to Monday's and all.

In the beginning of the broadcast, Hogan should come out and say TNA has just signed the biggest free agent in wrestling today and here he is. Then Rob comes out to a major pop from the Impact Zone, that would be cool. Dont make him do something similar to what they did with Jeff Hardy on the January 4th Impact.

I still think its bullshit.

Also, who the hell would let news out about Van Dam signing with TNA, you have potential for and epic suprise debut, one of the biggest in quite awhile and you just tell people about it? :smh

I think that it could have been RVD who Eric Bischoff was talking about a few weeks ago on Impact.
