easily my least favorite parts on replays. just so slow.

Yeah I can see this becoming annoying on replays, like the intro for Village or that part in RE2 when you play as Sherry.

The last two fights were a bitch but it didn’t take me too many tries. The last trophy i need is to cut a lickers tongue off and im at 100%

Finished it today

Took my sweet time to explore the larger areas like Raccoon City and I did multiple trips between save rooms and my objectives so I finished the game in a little less than 11h. I tend to reload checkpoints a lot when I waste ammo or take damage though so I actually spent 20h on that first run.
It was a fun game overall, I loved the first third of the game in the clinic, the second one with Leon was fun but a bit underwhelming compared to RE4R, and sadly I have to say I didn't like the last third of the game in the lab. The level design felt very bland and not particularly fun to navigate.

I felt the same way about some other areas earlier in the game such as the intro, the orphanage, the bike chase, the hide and seek segments with the giant girl...
I have a feeling I won't replay this one very often once I get the platinum trophy whereas I have put 477h in RE4R.

It might just be the newness bias but I actually enjoyed this game more than RE4R. I also was never a huge fan of RE4 to begin with and at the time thought it ruined the series because I was more into the tank control fixed cameras.

It's hard to say where this one stacks up to the others but I think RE2R is the only one that compares for me in terms of how often I have replayed it and wanted to replay it back to back(beat this game 5 times now). Both RE2R and RE3R are probably tied with replays and its probably close to 50 over multiple consoles.

Except Requiem has dozens of weapons upgrades you have to buy again.

Yeah I get that but you get plenty of money in the game so it's not a huge deal plus when you unlock the bonus weapons its a one and done purchase. I get the sniper rifle and ghost grudge almost instantly and then rest is nothing.

they might add a proper New Game+ in the upcoming DLC.

The whole game is fantastic. The New Game+ is fine, especially when you have the upgraded bracelet for extra points.

Well I'm on my second playthrough right now, and after exploring everything and killing all the enemies I still haven't upgraded the gun and the rifle fully and I'm about to do the bike chase so it doesn't really go as fast as you say.

I like playing those games on hard difficulty and struggling at the beginning with the weaker gear but we should also have the possibility to play with the fully upgraded weapons if we want to, to fully appreciate all the upgrades.

That's why the RE4 NG+ works the best in my opinion, you keep everything but if you feel like starting over you just sell everything or start a new game.

Took me three runs to notice Leon is putting back on his wedding ring in the final cutscene when he walks away from Grace.
I wonder if he ended up with Claire, Ada or Helena. I don't believe it's Ashley and some people say Sherry but it would be weird for them to be together IMO.

it shows both of sherry's hands in the game and she doesn't have a wedding ring on. she does however have a similar band on one of her other fingers so ppl think it might be like a "family" ring that leon claire and sherry all have but that's just ppl pulling shit out of thin air.

I have a feeling DLC might explain the wedding ring but it could just be something they wanted ppl to speculate on until RE10

I think people might be having misconceptions about things, but I think the likeliest answer is that RE7 through 9 are on a different timeline compared to OG 1-6.

So with that in mind chances are that the current timeline is REmake, RE2make, R3make, RE4make, RE7, RE8, and RE9.

So Leon probably won't be married to any of the girls. He's probably married to someone who just isn't relevant to the story.
