Rant thread.

So, as of late my mom has really been pissing me off lately in terms of money. I have some money, not a ridiculous amount but it's probably more than someone my age would typically have (at the age of 17.) I have a job, but I'm not going to lie. It's an absolute joke, I work two days a week, and get about 40 bucks a week TOPS. My mom has been on my case lately about excess spending and wants me to have as much money as possible for college and such.

I don't really spend much money unless it's necessary.
My last couple purchases:
School supplies.
Clothes for school.
Gas for my car.
iPad insurance.
Passport fee.

Out of those I really didn't need the clothes, but everything else I needed to get. What really pisses me off is that my mom is so hypocritical. Out of these 5 purchases, I thought that she would pay for all of them except for gas, but no, she makes me pay for them. It's so aggravating. She says: "Hey, Zach, you can't be spending your money bla bla bla get a better job bla bla bla" and then goes "Want to go back to school shopping?" Which really pisses me off because she acted like she wanted to buy me clothes when in reality, she would go out and "buy me clothes" and then go back home and go on her stupid little computer and transfer money from my online banking to her account. Am I just stupid or is this hypocritical of her, or of myself? I just don't know what to say to her because when it comes to her, you can't have an opinion that differs from her or else she will get pissed off at you, because god forbid she's fucking wrong for once.

Am I in the wrong here? Am I seeing this the wrong way?

you are stuck in the real world early. She might want to pay for all, but as you said you dont need it. Get help from school, there are programs to get you afterschool work for more cash, at least around here. Otherwise, get in AP classes and convince her that the lack of money you will need for college classes after means more money is needed in the immediate future for college grades.

I don't have a problem with paying for anything. I'm just upset that she acts like wants to pay for it, but then goes and makes me pay for it anyways. And also, its too late for AP classes, however I am taking a course which awards college credits, and she'll probably make me pay for the credits too.

Its your mom, dont be a cocksucker. Of course she wants to pay. If you get college class courses, she might be more inclined to help, otherwise apply for financial aid, which = win win .

Sounds like shes a douche bag imo. Shes going to pay for the shit, but then take your money from your account and put it in hers?? Sounds like a snake in the grass. How grimey is that?!?!
