@Barry Poppins quick help, I wanted an easy no stress game so I created a maxed out 100 stat everything 16 year old to rule Bohemia as king and not expand, just make a fucking awesome kingdom

But days in, bc my character is so awesome, I'm being voted the next holy Roman emperor and I don't wanna do that, what do I do I can't figure anything out

Oh god, you could potentially just elect another person and maybe get others to join your vote, through bribes or favors.

Yeah I think I'm just gonna restart and try the same attempt in like sardinia or something

It would be great if there was an option where you could just decline to be an elected official and just chill out.

I think I've found my perfect no stress game.

I started as the Kingdom of Sri Lanka in 867. They're already feudal, already have a mine and university, and have a total of 8 castle holdings. I can't hold them all sadly as I used the default starting ruler who wasn't particularly great but I've been playing for about 30 years now and he's probably got at most a decade left if he's really lucky and the future lineage will easily be able to hold all 8, I just need to revoke a few titles from family members when it comes to that.

So far in the 30 years I've increased my development and built almost all of the buildings I can with my current innovations, so I'm just making hella gold (mostly due to the mine). I was able to add feudal elective to all 3 counties so my inheritance is basically primogeniture, I could pick a different kid but I kinda like having to play as the oldest. The main continent of India only has strong players in the northern half, the southern part is still very divided and always at war with each other so even with me barely bothering to upgrade my army, they don't even think about touching me. I have like 15 kids and counting bc my religion encourages me to have 4 wives. Also about 25 grandkids and some great grandkids so far. Dynasty is going real strong.

My royal court fluctuates between 9 and 10 as I don't quite have enough to keep it above 10 permanently, likewise I fluctuate between #1 or #2 in the world with the Byzantines. The only thing I'm trying to rush before this first guy is getting one more level of deviation so I can consecrate my blood. If not oh well, I can get it as one of the heirs but I'm pretty close now. I think one more pilgrimage will do it, I just returned from my first one since I was more focused on upgrading my buildings most of the life.

Not sure what my long term goal is, once I completely run out of things to do in my kingdom, maybe I invade the main continent and try to form the empire but so far I'm very happy playing politics here. Very fun start

I can't wait for Paradox to add merchant republics as playable in CK3 (without needing mods to do it) so you can just chill and never worry about leading when you could just make lots of money and upgrade your estate into the best.

Actually one of my favorite things to do in CK2 is to turn tribal Ireland into a full blown Merchant Republic Kingdom and just make so much money that England and Scotland become non-threats entirely

Mostly unrelated to that but I was also considering doing another ireland save bc I loved the tutorial one that started me there. I ended up conquering the entire UK as the empire of Alba, but I was thinking about doing another where I only do ireland or possibly scotland

He has been my court physician since he was like 19 so if anyone could survive it should be him but I was a little worried bc he's never developed past average at it lol

Played basically all day today so a lot of updates and I'm probs not done

My heir ended up getting murdered anyway about a year before my character died but that was fine honestly bc I just made his son the new heir of all the counties and he's pretty solid, been playing as him for quite a few years now. Publically executed the dude that killed my original heir, easy to find out who with my stats

I'm pretty proud of how I got the last county I gave out at the beginning of the game back when I finally got my domain limit high enough. He was the son of my first characters brother so a cousin of the current character and he wanted my county so he hated me along with some other reasons. I denounced him but still had 0% chance of imprisoning or revoking his title without war. Probs would have been an easy win but I'm trying to avoid war this play. So I swayed, dedicated a book or banner ( I don't remember) to him, and then made him the guest of honor at a feast so his opinion of me skyrocketed. Then I easily imprisoned and took his title lol. I was compassionate and revoked the denouncement as well so that's no longer hanging over his head. He likes me again as well

Lmao I married one of my cousins to a matrilineally marriage to the ruler of the Chola duchy on mainland southern India and I got a notification that the alliance was invalidated after a couple years and it looked like she divorced him but also he became a knight of the household so whatever I was just gonna leave him there, but then I check back a couple months later and she's remarried him, probably not matrilineally this time if I had to guess and also no alliance this time (fine with me but still the principal) what a shrewd bitch

Currently playing as Cuba, I conquered the entirety of the Caribbean while World War 2 was happening in the background and then I annexed Venezuela. Not sure where to go from here, but I may attempt to conquer up through Central America to form a truly more perfect Caribbean Empire.

November 3rd, 1942: Germany was defeated by the combined powers of the Allies, beaten largely by the sacrifice of over 2 million Polish soldiers. The US never bothered joining the war, and Italy kinda fell apart immediately after the war began. Poland-Lithuania, for its part, spent years in the buildup having friendly annexations of Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Estonia and Latvia. Bulgaria and Turkey joined on behalf of the Axis powers. Russia was not involved since it had undergone a civil war to depose Stalin.

Poland was the first to discover the atomic bomb, and used it indiscriminately against its enemies. Prague would be the first to feel the wrath of Atomic Warfare. Berlin, Hamburg, Dresden, and Istanbul would suffer the same. In the end, Poland Lithuania would annex Czechia, Eastern Germany, Bulgaria, and parts of Turkey. The establishment of an independent Istanbul would also serve as a buffer state between Turkey and Poland.

So now I'm waiting things out for the game to finish.
