So terrible for anyone to die that young. I only knew about him casually because NASCAR is not my thing but I did know who he was. But my main thing is the age. No one should have to die so young.

As much as I have been negative of Joe Gibbs, he has been very open with this situation. I saw the interview of him saying that he reached out to Richard Childress about helping the Busch family in the future, including Brextons future, and to show support to Childress for being in this situation of losing a driver twice now.

After Kyle left JGR the 18 car number in the cup series was replaced with the 54. So even more now we probably wont be seeing the 18 in the cup series again for a long, long time as it's Kyles number.

It's a shame that he never won the Daytona 500, but at least you're making sure of that.

He's up there with the best of them to never win it, Mark Martin and Tony Stewart. Crazy how some of the best NASCAR has ever seen couldn't get it done, but then you got some people who's career isn't all that, who got a Daytona 500 Championship. Show's how random that race can truly be sometimes.

Indeed. Trevor Bayne's a prime example of a Daytona 500 winner who's career isn't all that after winning it.
