- Matt Hardy tweeted the following message to Jeff Hardy yesterday morning: "The time is near for the Hardy Empire to begin.. Starting with the Charismatic Enigma.. 8/25/09"

My money is on that Matt helps Jeff retain the belt at Summerslam than in return Matt gets a title shot at the 8/25 SD taping where he gets the belt and totally rips Jeff a new one, destroys him, writing him off of SD.

I was thinking something to the same extent. However, then it occured to me... When Taker returns he's supposed to feud with Punk...and unless Punk is holding the title, it would be completely pointless.
However, I would love to see Matt pull a swerve face turn because this Hardy reunion is almost fuckin nauseating.

I still find it hilarious that these 2 are back together again. It hasn't even been 12 months since their heated rivary. Now all of a sudden they are buddies again.

Wow!! Was it really that soon? That's even more lol-ish. I never liked the storyline before with Jeff not wanting to fight his brother until he found out he killed his dog, and then he just snaps, yet none of the other stuff Matt did didn't even strike a nerve. But this is rediculous now.

Edge will be red hot after his return from injury (First time face in, what... 5/6 years? ...And will leapfrog everyone into that ME spot; I'd put money on it!

Come to think of it, didn't Matt cost Jeff the title agaisnt Edge the ppv after that? Judgement Day I believe. He interferred, cost Jeff the title, and in return got a US title match the next night.

Yeah guys..this shit was still going on in like fuckin late June/July

But as far as Edge goes...no one is going to take priority over him once he returns. He'll probably almost get HHH return status after his first quad tear. Went out as a huge heel...comes back as a massive face. It all depends on when and if they decide to do a Jericho/Edge feud. If not I'm sure we'll see Edge dominate Smackdown as a face for at like 4-6 months.

^^^I think their plans will depend on when he can actually return.... If it's relatively close to WM, I reckon they'll let it all climax with a title win at WM (Just like they did with the HHH return you spoke of).

I know, Edge is the Hardy maker I swear. Though you gotta give it to Matt for having a hot girlfriend for Edge to steal...which was pretty much his catapult feud to the main event.

Personally I would like to see it go down like this if Jeff is actually leaving.

Matt helps Punk regain the title at SS revealing that him and Punk have been working together to rid the WWE of Jeff Hardy.

Jeff makes one last appearance on SD after SS to face Matt in some kind of match. It doesn't need to be a gimmick match but have Matt go uber-heel and just destroy Jeff putting him off television. I know this is PG tv but I would still like it to be really violent in nature. Make Matt vicious in assaulting Jeff.

Punk is champ, which is good and Matt will get serious heat for such a heavy beating on Jeff.

That said, even then, why would he have prevented Punk regaining the title on SD when he was the enforcer?
