Rich Bocchini returns to MLW in expanded broadcast role

The voice that helped define an era is back — and this time, he’s stepping into the center of the action as an MLW Insider.

Major League Wrestling today confirmed that MLW Insider Rich Bocchini will return beginning with the upcoming new season of MLW FUSION.
Serving as the MLW Insider, Bocchini will break news and deliver updates on all league matters — from championship developments and contract negotiations to locker room tensions and major announcements shaping the future of Major League Wrestling.

Rounding out the broadcast team, Joe Dombrowski and “Filthy” Tom Lawlor will call the action, bringing their signature blend great commentary, combat analysis and fighter’s insight to the booth.

Since calling the action at MLW: One-Shot in 2017, Bocchini has been one of the most trusted and recognizable voices in MLW. Now, as FUSION launches into a new season, Bocchini steps into an expanded role as MLW Insider — the league’s embedded journalist tasked with delivering breaking news, exclusive scoops, and unfiltered insight from inside Major League Wrestling.

Whether it’s a contract negotiation, a championship opportunity in the works, or tensions boiling over behind the curtain, Bocchini will be the one with the story first.

If there’s tension in the locker room, Rich will be there.
If a champion has something to say, Rich will get the answer.
If a rivalry is about to explode, Rich will have the receipts.

Known for his sharp instincts and steady presence, Bocchini has long balanced calling the action with in-depth perspective on the rivalries and business of MLW. From guiding MLW Nation through chaos in the ring to sitting down with the league’s biggest names for revealing interviews, his work has helped shape the tone and credibility of MLW broadcasts.
Now, he moves beyond the desk and into the trenches.

As FUSION enters a new era, Bocchini will operate across every layer of MLW — embedded backstage, stationed at ringside, and tracking developments as they unfold in real time. His mission: deliver the news, context, and inside information driving the biggest fights in the sport.

A veteran television and radio broadcaster, Bocchini brings decades of experience across multiple sports. He has called arena football and baseball, served as the public address announcer for Major League Soccer’s Houston Dynamo, and spent nearly 15 years in professional hockey as both a broadcaster and media relations director in the American, Central, and United Hockey Leagues. He called three CHL All-Star Games and was honored as CHL Communications Executive of the Year in 2009.

As MLW FUSION prepares for a new season, the broadcast gains not just a seasoned journalist — but the league’s insider with his ear to the ground and the story before anyone else.

Tickets on sale this Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET at MLWgo.com.

Major League Wrestling storms back into Charleston September 12!

Tickets go on sale this Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET at MLWgo.com, as Major League Wrestling returns to Festival Hall in the heart of downtown Charleston on Saturday, September 12 for a stacked night featuring its signature event FIGHTLAND and a FUSION TV taping.

Charleston has become the home base for Major League Wrestling, with fans across Chucktown embracing MLW as their hometown league. That connection has fueled a surge of momentum, with every MLW Charleston event to date selling out well in advance of fight night – cementing the city as one of the hottest stops on the calendar.

On September 12, MLW brings that energy back to Festival Hall with FIGHTLAND, one of the league’s most anticipated events, paired with a FUSION TV taping showcasing the league’s top wrestlers and rising contenders.

Fans are strongly encouraged to secure tickets early. The last Charleston event sold out days ahead of time, and demand is expected to be even higher for FIGHTLAND.

Tickets start at just $10, making it one of the most accessible live sports experiences in the country.

Don’t wait. Don’t miss out. Set a remind for this Wednesday’s on-sale.

Get your tickets at MLWgo.com.

I did read that they've apparently moved their offices to Charleston, so fair enough on that front... but they making it sound like they've ran numerous events there over the years already
