since this is gonna be a my first hosted game I’d like any tips and suggestions

From how I do it, my biggest advice is think of a way each team can counter each role the other side has so game isn't ever won solely on roles.

I will say aesthetically the forum looks much better than when I looked at it in 2023.

yeah they been doing some work with the layouts and shit. tbh doesnt ever matter to me as i always just use the basic anyways

I think this even came up in the last game, but also give results as your target is town, or your target was seen visiting x, and not use the target's name.

It gives no wiggle room for role switching.

mafia team should make up around 25% of the entire game
and non-town overall including indies should make up around 33% of the entire game

you can play around a little bit with bigger/smaller teams and having buffs/nerfs to help deal with it but with your first game I'd honestly just try to keep it as simple as possible

dont include too many killing roles, this is a mistake I even still fall into too often

don't include batshit roles that deceive the players. anything you post as the host should be able to be 100% trustworthy

if you want help setting up a game, I can help. i wouldnt be able to play it, but its up to you

there is a role database on mafia universe that I find very helpful. Like say I know I want to include an info type role but I don't know which one, I can literally just go on there and filter by info roles lol
