IF this is about them digging it out of its grave, then it'll really depend on who's gonna be involved with the project. With WWE and AEW both boosting the interest of non-Mexican fans in Lucha Libre (I assume, at least), it makes sense to put something like LU back on the map now... I just don't know to whom they'll turn there heads. Them getting some rejects in, just because they having a bit of a name and are available, seems relatively likely, so... gonna have to wait.

LU's first season back in the day was incredible to witness (minus everything involving Sexy Star, obvs), but for me personally it fell off hard and fast. Maybe it got better again and I'm at fault for not sticking with it, but yea... This would be interesting to see, but hyped? Nah, not really. We have a lot of good Wrestling on the TV already, contrary to back then where it immediately became a breath of fresh air.

Interested to see how they'd do this without any of the luchadors that most international fans give a damn about. Have to do a lot of building of indie unknowns

Lucha Underground's teasers are for syndication of old episodes.

"What Lucha Underground is going to do is put the old show back out in some form. I don’t know all of the details to it but it looks like enough rights have gone to one place, which is the problem with Lucha Underground is that too many rights are in too many different places, but at least the rights to broadcast the show that has not been in circulation anywhere, I think the only place you can get it right now is to buy it through Amazon.

"It seems like it is going to come back in some form. I’m going to assume on YouTube. That’s where they made the announcement, they brought the channel back, it’s gone live. That is the word coming from the creative content officer of El Rey that the property is coming back in some of the syndication for the old episodes. That’s the scoop. That’s it."
