I've doubled my points from this time last season. I must be learning.
Unless you completely fall apart in the second half of the season, you will also make another jump in the All-Time Standings.

Speaking of those All-Time Standings... I updated them with the first half of BOTS IX as well

all-time-standings-halfway-IX.png

Wang is closing in on Jean, while Lethal hasn't passed Chris yet. All changes in positions are shown by the small numbers besides the places.
Jean, Wang and Booty are the first guys to break the 800th Receiving Votes milestone, with Wolverine very likely and Mitch possibly hitting
that as well by the end of this season.

Oh yeah, I also greyed out everyone that isn't playing this season.

Still find it amazing that Fuji missed a season and is top 3.

BOTS IX
Round 7

results-round7.png

standings-7.png

Sky's undefeated streak is over by the hands of this round's big winner, our BOTS Overlord Booty, who
made the second biggest jump in the standings, after Chris, with six fat points. Skyefire's winning streak
on the other hand got extended to five in a row and she also became the first person this season, who
climbed to the top of the board for a second time. That's right, just as another underlining of how close
this season is: We had 6 different leaderboard toppers in 7 rounds.

For our look at the top match of the upcoming round, we once again go to the Wangster, who will face
Smark. Not just because they are both in the big group of Skyefire-Hunters, but also because both were
in the Top 10 last season, with Smark being placed above Wang for the first time in BOTS history. Maybe
that would've been different, if they had faced each other in BOTS VIII, but they didn't. Let's see... what
about BOTS VII? Nope. BOTS VI? Also nope... ah, here we go. Round 9 of BOTS V was the last and ONLY
time these two giants, who participated in every BOTS season btw, faced each other. Wang beat Smark
with 15-8 back then. ...oh and guess what. The theme of that round was UUDDLRLR.

What are the chances, eh?
BOTS is just beautiful.

I want to add TWO more factoids here:
- 6 different leaders of the standings is more than we had in either of the last two seasons.
- In both those seasons (VII and VIII) the eventual champions Fuji and Looch climbed to the top spot with Round 7 and never left it again.

BOTS IX
Round 8

results-round8.png

standings-8.png

First of all... Round 8 is now the latest round ever to feature the first tie for Bonus Points of a season. Booty made the biggest
jump in the standings, with his total of five points, climbing to the top position for the first time this season and for the first time
since winning Season 6. He got big help by the scheduling gods here, since the four people above him faced each other and both
those matches were the only ties of this round. Also, even with all the changes within the Top 10, it's still the same 10 people
that were in the Top 10 after the last round. Skyefire's winning streak ended by the hands of the nicest guy in town, Jimmy King.
With 4 rounds left to go the maximum score anyone could achieve is 24... which means even Dame isn't out of the closest
Championship race we ever had.

The main event of the upcoming 9th Round is clearly Skyefire versus Jean. Now, this is only Skyefire's second participation,
so obviously there couldn't have been a lot of matches between the two yet, but I still want to point out she beat Jean last
season in their first duel with 14-9. As an extra stat: When it comes to the 9th Round, Jean has a 4-1 W/L record, with his
first loss hitting him last season by the hands of Juice.

BOTS IX
Round 9

results-round9.png

standings-9.png

With a field of a competition being this close the whole time, it's only natural that big points bring big jumps. In this
case Jean and Wolverine made the biggest hops in the standings by four and five spots, respectively. Jean also became
only the second person this season to hold the top spot for a second time, after leading due to his six points in Round 1.
Also Jean is on the longest unbeaten streak with four matches in a row without a loss. At the other end of the spectrum
we see Dame with an impressive 11 losses in a row. By quite a margin the longest losing streak in BOTS history.

I'll make it short with the top match of the next round this time. I looked at first placed Jean facing fifth placed Smark
and we've seen this match up twice before. In BOTS VII and BOTS V Smark lost both times to our Canadian friend.

BOTS IX
Round 10

results-round10.png

standings-10.png

Wolverine and Jean traded places and with that Wolv became the 8th person this season to hold the top spot and as
far as I can tell it's the very first time he ever climbed up on that spot in BOTS history... the question now is: Can Wolv,
after two overall 2nd places in the last two BOTS seasons, keep the hunters at bay? With the next round not featuring
any direct duels between the top 8, the possibilities are bonkers when it comes to the championship race in the very
final round.

Speaking of the #1, the only person out of the current top 8 that hasn't lead the table this season (so far) is Phantom.

When it comes to the top duel of round 11, I think we have to look at Booty versus Fuji. Two former BOTS champions
clash in the penultimate round of this wild season and while both have theoretically still a chance to win it all, I think
it's fair to say that Booty has to lose more in this. Well, this match-up only happened once so far, when Fuji demolished
Booty in Round 5 of BOTS VII with a 14-4.

Fun bit of statistics you could work out: which artist has the best overall win rate, and which artists have never won?
Will definitely look into that at some point, because I had that in mind already for some time.
