Tuesday night's NXT averaged 636,000 viewers on the USA Network, down 4.4 percent from last week. It's the lowest number for the show since March 17, when it still aired on Wednesdays opposite AEW Dynamite.
In the 18-49 demo, NXT drew a 0.13 rating, down 23.5 percent from last week. That matched the lowest rating in the key demo that the show has done since February 10 and was the second lowest so far in 2021.
The major sports competition was the NBA Eastern Conference Finals game on TNT that averaged 4.6 million viewers. ESPN also had the College World Series, which averaged 1.4 million viewers.
Year-over-year, NXT was down 19.7 percent in viewership and down 40.9 percent in 18-49. The NXT episode this time last year was night one of the Great American Bash. It featured a match between Sasha Banks and Io Shirai, which propped up the numbers and led the show to one of its rare viewership wins head-to-head with Dynamite.
