The HIM Era is off to a good start. He supposedly said he wants to wrestle someone new as the first challenger so now I wonder who else is gonna be in the match. Axiom? Joe Coffey? Andre Chase? Tyler Bate?

Of course what it'll end up being Von Wagner...

Actually Ilja is already in a match so scratch that. Still wouldn't be surprised if Axiom/Fraser was one.

I wouldn't mind if either one were in to be fair. both would be fine first contenders for Melo.

Only issue I have is that they need to bridge the gap a bit more between the top guys and the midcard to try and make them believable challengers.

To me it just feels like Bron and Melo are the only top guys they have, then there's probably a drop off to someone like Ilja and maaaybe Waller and then everyone behind them is just straight up NA Title division guys.

Waller is most definitely a top guy. Hell he's feuding with Shawn Michaels. But he's also likely on his way up to Raw.

Melo graduated from NA title picture to Main Eventer. I actually wonder if Wes Lee can do the same in time.

Honestly the issue with long championship reigns is that you beat everyone and they start to not look like Main Eventers when they lose to the Champ (especially after multiple losses).
