Legacy, the faction which took months of teasing and various line up changed to finalize seems as if it's at the end of it's road.
When Legacy first formed most of us were extremely critical of the lack of focus on Ted Dibiasi and Cody Rhodes. They seemed to simply blend into the background and do nothing more than run ins and beat down on Orton's behalf. Either that or they were simply there to take Orton's beatings.
Over the past few months we've seen them run an extremely successful feud with DX and really start to come into their own as competitors and proven that yes...they can cut a promo...and yes, they can really go in the ring. However, through all this it seems that one problem has always been present with Legacy, at least in my mind... they've never truly come across as a team. Dibiasi and Rhodes have barely been seen with Orton over the past few months and honestly have done better without him hovering over their shoulders, yet we're forced to believe he still has some form of hold over them? Hell, Orton won't even come out to the "Legacy" theme music. In fact, when they did enter together, they'd enter to his music.
A few weeks back at Hell In A Cell we saw Ted and Cody snap at Orton and tell him he was just like their fathers. Last night on RAW we saw Cody pin Ted and Ted pin Orton. Obviously they've set forth the seeds for a Legacy split. But my question is this... was there ever really a Legacy stable to begin with? Or did Cody and Ted simply change their tag name from Priceless to Legacy and hang out with Orton for a few months?
I'm not doubting or denying the impact all of this has had on their young careers, but am I the only one who feels like Legacy was never really a unit?
