It's a pain in the ass, as it only seems to last half an hour or so. Anyone have any idea what the problem may be? Putting it on a hard surface doesn't work, and I've done all necessary updating and it still happens. I've tried blowing out the air vent bits, although I'll get a proper air blowy thing when I get home from holiday. Just wondering, is there any other possible reason for this? I'm getting pretty concerned that this would start happening so suddenly.

Open it up and clean it. Also try one of those cooling stands, they're quite cheap.

That happened to my old laptop, I was insured and got it repaired and it was fine afterwards. Can't really remember the problem as it was years ago but i think the fan had broken and the inside had got all dusty and was blocking air vents.

I have had this problem before,it could be that you are using in when on your bed, carpet and dust gets into it, its not advisable to do that,You could open it up and clean it up but its up or a cooling mat i believe can help things, i just got a new laptop in the end as mine was old anyway.

I have the same problem. Using Speedfan has helped to increase the life span whilst its on. But its still a problem.

Cooling stands are good. I have one I can just lean the laptop on for some extra open airspace under it but I can also turn it one if needed which gives me 3 extra fans.

If you have sturdy plastic around the fans/vents try an airduster spray or maybe even a vacuum on low power (I used to do that on my desktop but I'd only do it on a laptop as a last resort, airduster is the way to go)

Going to save a nice juicy (like Lily's vagina) Lily joke for when we have our first Skype call again after you return. You'll be all happy, playing games with Crayo again, but I'll drop a Jonabomb on your ass.

You'll be too busy marking your ass off for The Ralb to care :true:
