Amidst a night in wrestling where so much excitment and drama happened I just want to focus on arguably the most shocking moment of the night
when Jeff Hardy showed up in TNA after being the most popular star on Smackdown and quite possibly the entire WWE. Thoughts?

If this holds any water, I read a report that Helms and Matt are asking for their release. I highly doubt that but anything is possible.

Jeff in TNA is golden.

I wouldn't doubt that Matt was asking for his release. He's doing next to nothing. In TNA, he and Jeff could easily headline a PPV.

Anyway, here is my deal on Jeff. This is ignoring the fact that he is an obviously liability to TNA, especially now that they are shoving themselves into the main stream media spotlight. This is solely how I feel about him being a part of TNA. I like Jeff Hardy when he's up against bigger opponents. His matches with Umaga and Triple H were among my favorites. If he's going to be in the X-Division, you lose that, so I'm not too hot on his prospects in TNA. I guess he could probably do some entertaining stuff with AJ Styles, but I honestly don't want Jeff to be near the TNA Title, unless it's just a one-off Impact "DREAM~" match.

Maybe Hardy shouldn't be in wrestling at all right now and focus on getting his life on track. But the inner wrestling fan is happy to see him. In Jeff's previous run TNA was so good to him, so it was good to see that he gave his love to WWE and now he's back in TNA.

I don't know if WWE was aware of this as they were pushing his DVD quite heavily. I found it also interesting how they started pushing a "vintage" Hogan DVD too. I felt like they were saying well if you aren't with us anymore we're gonna make as much money off your memories as possible.

I feel bad for Hardy's younger fans who may not understand the switch.
They'll find their way over to TNA impact eventually.

I'm excited about possible new matches or the renewal of old revivalries

Hardy vs Styles
Hardy vs Angle
Hardy vs Desmond Wolfe
Hardy vs Chris Daniels
Hardy vs Joe

those should be fun to watch :)

And Shannon Moore is no slouch himself. Needs to get that hardcore punk look pack that was cool.

As I said in the other 2 or 3 threads about him, I'm not a big fan of his, but marked out when I saw him. It's good right now that they aren't pushing him to the main event though, considering he's a liabilty.

Biggest signing for TNA ever. I agree with Axis to an extent. I don't want him to have any title reigns at all in 2010. He should play like Lashley (although Jeff is 1000x more entertaining than Lashley) and sit back, get majorily hyped, and have BIG ass match ups/high profile feuds. I.e. feuds with Angle, Daniels, Joe, etc. And please god I hope Matt shows up in TNA this year, that'd be awesome, I'm sure he'd have time to get his ass in shape then.

I've never understood this in any situation with huge stars leaving companies. I get that the WWE road schedule is grueling and should be changed as well as shortened dramatically but to leave a company where you are the BIGGEST STAR to fuck around with drugs and go to TNA is ridiculous. Is it worth less work days than to one day possibly be considered one of the best ever? With the obvious few exceptions (Angle, AJ, etc) you aren't going to be relevant years after you retire if you don't have main event success in WWE for an extended period of time.

Jeff has pretty much given that up if he decides to stay in TNA for a while. As for my thoughts on him in TNA of course TEH DREAM MATCHUPS will be good but for me I can't get all the way behind it knowing that Jeff has given up a significant amount of his star power just to work less days.

Still can't believe Jeff Hardy returned to TNA, he clearly still is on drugs with that decision. Wonder whether he'll be staying or not.

In my beard
He took a line of cocaine on the dotted line instead of signing it. It was just as good.

Jeff is a complete idiot for doing this, simple as that.
