I don't know why but all of a sudden Chrome has started to become Laggy and unresponsive more. I don't know why this is as I haven't installed any new software onto my laptop.

I was wondering if you guys could recommend me a browser which is basically just doing what I do on the net.

Visit the forums, read news websites, and watch live streams of TV.

I know the four main ones Chrome, Mozilla, IE, and Opera. I was wondering If you could tell me the benefits of each Browser. Which one clogs up your HDD, which one is considered light weight. That kind of stuff. Hope you guys can help me as chrome is becoming uncontrollable at the moment.

I used that when it was first released I hated it. I think I'm going to download Opera by the sounds of it.

I would try just fixing Chrome as it's by far the best. Opera would be the #2 though.

I've been googling answers about it, but they just don't know. The CPU of Chrome spikes at 100% for no reason. I've re-installed it twice. I have no Virus' or Malware on my computer, as I regularly do Virus' scans.

I have no idea what the problem is.

Opera wouldn't let my Bittorrent Client open Magnet links, so I had to install Mozilla...

I only use Chrome and Opera, my back up is Safari, that's about it. FireFox got to slow for me, and Internet Explorer is a joke.

I was using Mozilla and it seem's okay, I'm on the desktop PC at the moment and the Chrome on here is fine. Don't know why it just bugged out.

If it's laggy it sounds like you need to clear your temp files. That slows browsers right down.

Also, go wrench menu > view background pages.
Take a screenshot of all background pages and post it here.

I uninstalled it, when I'm on the laptop tomorrow, I'll re-install it, and post the details, I always do a "CCleaner" which I thought deleted temp files?

It does, but you may have accidentally set it so it doesn't.
You have to choose for it to do Chrome temp files etc.
