Shawn Michaels has been telling friends as of late he plans on leaving WWE for good following WrestleMania. His contract is set to expire soon and he has talked about wanting to spend more time with his children as they grow up.

While there's a chance he could stick around on a limited schedule, that's said to be a long shot at this point.

Michaels is not advertised for any shows past the night after WrestleMania when Raw emanates from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

So we know whos winning then...

Yep, because Shawn Michaels' friend would all be sharing this information with the Wrestling Globe Newsletter

Speculation is ftw.

Yeah it's rare I ever take dirt sheets seriously anymore. The match can go either way and we're not going to know until it happens. And we're not going to know the fates of Michaels' and Takers' careers until months down the line. All we have to do is wait and enjoy the spectacle they're bound to put on in two weeks.

They've done this before though....

Where the WWE was follwing the Internet Wrestling Community and then altered the endings of PPV's just to keep the surprise element in there.

Let's wait and see what happens after Mania. Although I do believe Taker will win, eventually Shawn will come back.

Some friends they are.

Owait, they probably don't exist. Hardly surprising if this does happen, with Taker probably bowing out at next Wrestlemania if he makes it that far.

If Shawn Michaels goes, I expect the same (if not, better) send off WWE gave Ric Flair. There's no reason for that NOT to happen, especially for someone like Michaels who's easily the best worker in WWE history...imo.

I hope this isn't true, I want Shawn's last moment in WWE to be one where he can cut a promo saying goodbye to his fans.

That could happen on Raw the next night

HBK get's screwed and loses @ WM26, but due to the circumstances of the loss he is comehow afforded the green light to come back sooner or later... (Mirroring the aftermath of Savage's career match @ WM7)

Question is.... WHO?

HHH?

Bret? (Would take some quality writing, but what a way to start of a heel GM run or something similar...)

....Or randomly; Punk & S.E.S.

Tis the reason why I'm not to fond of the Career vs Streak match. Do I honestly think that they'd waste Taker's streak ending on HBK, no. Do I honestly think that HBK will retire after Mania, no. They're putting all this hype around it when in actuality, it doesn't matter. Taker beats HBK but he still comes back. I haven't cared about a "loser gets fired" match since I became a smark.

Triple H better cost him the match. But yeah, this report shouldn't be taken too seriously.

Aye, would be a nice set up for HBKs TRUE retirement match vs HHH @ WM27...
