NoDQ.com > WWE > Haas thinks Benjamin should leave WWE

Justncredible818 sent along the following:

One-half of the one of the most dominating tag teams in WWE history, The World's Greatest Tag Team, joined The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network for his return to the airwaves of "Your Home Of Wrestling Radio," which is now available in Windows Streaming Media or via Monday Night Mayhem's official Podcast on ITunes:

Charlie Haas/Monday Night Mayhem Interview (MNM Podcast On ITunes): http://www.mondaynightmayhemarchives.com/mar10/030810.mp3

Interview highlights courtesy of The Mayhem's official correspondent, Paterson From New Jersey:

How much of his second stint with World Wrestling Entertainment was a "life experience" after the first time being there: "It was definitely a life experience. It was just an ongoing nightmare for me. They promise they're gonna do this with you, and they don't do it. They tell me they are gonna bring me in to feud with Shelton (Benjamin), and they don't do it. As out lives went on we had our first child & then our second child, you wanna quit, but you have to support your family. Then you'll like 'Alright if I gonna eat crap to help support my family and give my wife & kids a better life, better than I ever had, then that's what I'll do.' But eventually, you could only handle so much before you gotta walk away because you bring that misery home, and it's unhealthy. It's a unhealthy work environment, but then when you bring it home, you make it a unhealthy home environment for your family, and you can't do that. It just really feels good to be away from that. No one understands unless you've been there."

Why Shelton Benjamin, like himself, has not been used to the best of his ability during his time in the WWE: "It's either someone doesn't like him in creative or he's just too good of a wrestler, or he just makes things look too good & too easy, or it's just very political. Someone at the time doesn't want him to succeed. They have who they want to push, and he's just not one of them. And it's unfortunate, because he is probably the most God-gifted athlete in sports (pro wrestling & the WWE), but they don't want to utilize that, so it's their loss. That's why I'm begging him not to sign back. He'll probably stay for the money, but he could utilized a lot better elsewhere I'll tell you that."

Look at what TNA did for Burke, just imagine what they could do with Shelton.

I wouldn't mind Shelton in TNA, they could do (and already have done) a lot worse.

Benjamin going to TNA would be horrid. As inconsistent as Shelton is in the ring, it's still his better trait, and in TNA you don't get a whole lot of time for actual wrestling. He would actually be better off on SmackDown! getting more time to wrestle in the midcard and less time to talk.

benjamin should stay away from springboard moves at all costs. i wish the guy would use more of his mat wrestling game in matches, watch a few eddie guerrero and kurt angle matched, rip them off, talk with HBK and ring psychology. if his personality isn't going to get him to the top then make your wrestling and the fans get you there. Him and Carlito i swear have wasted the most damn talent of anyone and its cuz theyre too lazy, carlito can wrestle and even has charisma the guy needs a look over haul to start any decent run but first he needs to get his ass in gear and prove something to the guys calling the shots.

Charlie Haas was amazing on the indy scene prior to signing with WWE. His brother Russ was also a great wrestler & they were an excellent tag team. I saw them wrestle a few times before they were both signed by WWE & their finisher "The Haas of Pain" was one of the best team moves out there. WWE misused Haas, as he could work better than the majority of guys they had under contract.

Lol, Burke is better than Shelton in the ring and legions better on the microphone anyways.

Shelton would fit in with TNA, a very spot filled wrestler who is willing to do the 'Holy Shit' bumps.

I wouldn't say Pope is better than Shelton in the ring, I am not taking anything away from Pope, they are about the same in the ring I would say.

Yes, you are right in the charisma department though, some of Benjamin's promos on ECW were disgusting lol.

Shelton needs his momma back, that's the only thing that's going to generate any interest in him...ever.

I've never been a huge fan of Elijah, but he is tonnes better than Shelton in the ring.

Burke doesn't rely on crazy flips and bumps to make his matches good like Shelton. Burke owns him.

And as James said, Impact has more promo time then wrestling time so having Shelton in there would be terrible because sooner or later he'd have to speak.

Shelton in TNA would be good in the ring, but his mic skills are awful. Mind you kinda like 80% of the TNA roster. So yeah he would fit in.
