Yeah well we don't advertise the midnight launches for the most part either except since we have presells we call them and let them know. Anyways about Gamestop being near Wal-Marts, its actually part of Gamestops marketing strategy to be near Wal-Marts. Those stores usually have fantastic sales numbers by comparison to other strip locations. The Wal-Mart CEO in Canada once called our Canadian CEO a Cancer that won`t go away. Our CEO took it as a compliment. lol
Yeah, I figured Gamestops have better sales when they are in strips/plazas with places like Wal Mart. We just got that one here maybe 2 years ago. I just think it's funny that Wal Mart now does midnight sales, and tells no one. We didn't even know and we work there. My gf is a CSM (Customer Service Manager) and she didn't know about it til she was about to leave that night.
Gamestop has a big word of mouth. Alot of people shop there. One person knows about the midnight sales, everyone knows about it. Seeing as though only a select few in the store knew about the mid-night sale at Wal Mart, how the hell are the customers going to know about it?
I don't shop at this Game Stop anymore though. I just go there to look around at games that they have and their prices and go to another out of town. I reserved 2 games before and when I went to get them, they sold them. That defeats the purpose of reserving the game. The guy was just like "oh we don't have it. We sold it." No apology, no condolence, no nothing. Just a we don't have it. I didn't even want the game anymore. When you pay for an reservation, you expect to get it. The 1st time it happened I understood because the store was new, new employees, shit happens. After the 2nd time it happened, I was done with them.
