GLOBAL FIGHT LEAGUE BRACKETOLOGY

MG: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Global Fight League Women's Bantamweight Bracketology Show! For months, fans have speculated about who would enter the tournament that will crown the first GFL Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tonight we begin to answer those questions. Joining us for this historic reveal will be a pioneer of women's MMA... Gina Carano!

BS: It's great to have Gina here. Few people understand the growth of women's MMA better.

RB: This is a bracket I'm very excited about. The Women's Bantamweight division has been one of killers. Now we get to see who will be the next great Bantamweight champion.

GC: I'm excited. Women's MMA has come a long way, and this tournament is going to showcase just how deep the talent pool really is.

------------------------------------------------- ENTRANT #1 -------------------------------------------------

AW: Starting out the GFL Bantamweight tournament. We head to Brazil for a UFC veteran and UFC title contender. This woman is a former Invicta Flyweight champion and is the current reigning Invicta Bantamweight champion.. Jennifer Maia!

imagem_2024-07-25_175022073.png

MG: We are starting out this tournament in a big way with the addition of Jennifer Maia. She has a ton of big fight experience.

BS: This is a well rounded fighter. She has very good boxing and muay thai while on the ground she has a black belt.

RB: Maia has fought killers in her career. This is truly a diamond forged by pressure.

GC: She brings a lot of experience into this bracket. Nobody's going to have an easy night against her.

------------------------------------------------- ENTRANT #2 -------------------------------------------------

AW: Our next entry is one of the toughest and most aggressive veterans in the game. A UFC veteran and former Bellator title contender.. Leslie Smith!

Leslie-Smith.jpg

MG: That is an excellent addition. Leslie Smith is one of the toughest fighters the division has ever seen.

BS: Smith will fight anyone. She will not take a step back.

RB: One of the most determined and resilient fighters I have ever seen.

GC: There is no fear from Smith. That fearlessness she possesses can be an absolute game changer in any fight!

------------------------------------------------- ENTRANT #3 -------------------------------------------------

AW: For our third entrant into the GFL Women's Bantamweight we return once more to Brazil. This time for a PFL veteran who has won not one but two tournaments.. Larissa Pacheco.

MG: Now this is a big addition to the tournament. We have a favorite here with this addition.

RB: Pacheco is not just a favorite but a heavy favorite in this field. This is an elite level fighter.

BS: Pacheco has game changing power. She can alter outcomes in seconds.

GC: Larissa is such a hard hitter. Her power is absolutely game changing in a field such as this.

------------------------------------------------- ENTRANT #4 -------------------------------------------------

AW: For our fourth entrant into the GFL Women's Bantamweight tournament, we return to America for a UFC, PFL and Bellator veteran.. Aspen Ladd!

MG: We are four entrants into this field and we have seen some big guns already in the fray.

RB: When Ladd is able to dictate the pace and instill her will, she is near enough unstoppable.

BS: She is very well rounded and her power is a difference maker.

GC: As a fighter Ladd is exceptional. She is one of the mot physically imposing women in this weight class and if she can control her weight, she is a favorite to reach the tournament finals.

------------------------------------------------- ENTRANT #5 -------------------------------------------------

AW: For the third time in the tournament, we head back to Brazil. This is a former UFC veteran as well as a former Invicta Bantamweight champion.. Talita Bernardo!

MG: Now this is an elite level submission grappler who is entering the field.

RB: Loads of big fight experience and a true grappling specialist to boot. Talita is a big threat to anyone on the ground.

BS: A specialist like Talita is a game changer. The threat of the takedown and her grappling allows her to surprise you with her stand up.

GC: Talita is a dark horse in a tournament like this. Elite grapplers like Talita are a worst possible outcome to draw in this field.

------------------------------------------------- ENTRANT #6 -------------------------------------------------

AW: Our next entrant into the tournament is representing England. An unbeaten fighter who is the current reigning Cage Warriors Women's Bantamweight champion... Kennedy Freeman!

MG: I am so happy to see Kennedy entering the field. I remember calling her father's fights and hearing him rave about her potential.

BS: This is a big opportunity here for Kennedy. Unbeaten and with a chance to make her name.

RB: the future arrives in moments such as this. We will see just what Kennedy's true potential is here.

GC: I really like this addition. Kennedy Freeman is a top ranked prospect and now we will see how she fares with her most dangerous, experienced opposition yet.

------------------------------------------------- ENTRANT #7 -------------------------------------------------

AW: Our next entrant is fighting out of Brazil. She is a UFC veteran who holds a black belt in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo.. Ketlen Vieira!

Ketlen_Vieira.jpg

MG: This is a serious contender to the GFL Women's Bantamweight tournament.

RB: One of the most physically strong women in the division. Vieira can dictate where any fight goes.

BS: Pressure, persistence and physicality. Ketlen has a lot of big fight experience which makes her a dark horse in this field.

GC: Ketlen has all the tools to go far in this tournament. With her strength and grappling, she can dominate brackets.

------------------------------------------------- ENTRANT #8 -------------------------------------------------

AW: Our eighth entrant into the GFL Women's Bantamweight tournament is a former Invicta Women's Bantamweight Champion.. Taneisha Tennant.

Taneisha_Tennant.jpg

MG: Tennant is a raw fighter. Just true potential and a skilled athlete.

RB: A well conditioned fighter who keeps a pressure like few others.

BS: This is Tennant's moment to shine. A true pressure fighter who can really upset the field.

GC: Tournaments always present an opportunity for upsets to happen. Tennant is a fighter who can most definitely play the spoiler in a field.

RB: Pace is one of Kianzad's biggest tools. She can maintain her pace for fifteen minutes.
BS: A technician who accumulates success through consistency.

GC: She has great experience and she's fought a lot of high level competition. While Kianzad may not be the most exciting, she is consistent and consistency kills in a tournament setting.

MG: A solid veteran addition to the tournament. Olga Rubin is hands down one of the best athletes we have in this tournament.
BS: Rubin is just a strong and tough athlete. She can strike and she can grapple. Plus there are few she can out muscle.
RB: Plus with her strength and power. People tend to forget that Olga Rubin has a strong grappling background.

GC: Rubin's strength is a difference maker in a tournament like this. If she gets you in her clutches, it's dangerous.
------------------------------------------------ Entrant #12 ------------------------------------------------

AW: Our next entrant is a UFC, Elite XC and Invicta veteran. A former Invicta Bantamweight champion and widely regarded as one of the toughest veterans in the game.. Tonya Evinger!

Tonya-Evinger.jpeg

MG: In my opinion one of the toughest fighters I have ever seen compete in the cage.
BS: Evinger is old school tough. She may not be in her prime but she is still dangerous.
RB: She has the wisdom of battle. Tonya has fought for so long, there is nothing she hasn't seen before.

Marina_Mokhnatkina.jpg

MG: This is a high level grappler entering the field.
RB: Marina has that nightmare Dagestan wrestling style. If she gets hold of anyone it will be a long night.

BS: Marina is a specialist. You have to mind yourself in a fight with her.
GC: This is a dark horse entrant. Marina is capable of establishing her game on anyone.
------------------------------------------------ Entrant #14 ------------------------------------------------

AW: Our next entrant is representing Canada. She is a former UFC veteran and title contender. With wins over veterans such as Sarah Kaufman and Liz Carmouche.. Alexis Davis.

RB: There is nothing Davis hasn't seen out there. This is a veteran of the highest order.

MG: This is a dangerous addition to the tournament. The undefeated Lucia Szabova enters the field.
RB: She is undefeated and she is dangerous. This is a highly regarded Muay Thai specialist.
BS: Potential remains one of the sport's most compelling mysteries.
