That's what I'm dealing with here, I got a notice saying one of our employees owes child support from 2017....just 2017

And they want me to take out some from his paycheck for it until it's paid and they give an exempt amount for it...except for it's higher than what he gets paid So idk how they expect to get any money that way.

They did extend the tax return deadline so I feel like they'd be lenient with penalties for awhile on most other things as well, but they gon' want their money eventually no matter what so I figured I might as well get this over with now.

We were only contacted to take it out of his paycheck bc he wasn't paying it lol but in 2017 apparently

Lol we have no legal department. I sent it to the CPA that handles the owner's businesses and he said that it's gotta be paid but to call to make sure the amount is right.

And I mean if he gets paid less than the exempt amount anyway I can't see where I should withhold any and if I stay on hold any longer I'm bout to just go with that logic
