If there's one thing this forum is good on in my opinion, it's short, neutral posts that don't really challenge anyone's perspective or encourage discussion

Gotten to a weird place where people go to a public forum and then act like it's weird when people actually try to discuss some shit

I feel I could also be part of the problem bc my desire to actually engage with people is at an all time low bc it feels like people barely have their own thoughts anymore, I hear one buzzword and I'm done lmao if I wanted to hear what a YouTube video said on the subject, I'd watch it myself

Idk, I don't think not engaging is really too bad. There's plenty times on here that I choose not to engage with people or just end a conversation when I can sense where it's going. But to discourage people who are looking for engagement, or even just being like "well that's my opinion" (because no shit buddy) is stuff that I've seen on the rise over the last decade and I just don't get.
