There's some standard events that always happen like Genghis Khan uniting the mongols and trying to take over the world and the black plague

is there a way to ensure you don’t die from the black plague or is that random

I never really play anywhere he's the biggest threat for though so it's just something for me to watch from a distance

idk I didn't get the plague dlc until this play and I haven't got to it yet. But the lesser plagues there's a lot of stuff you can do to lessen the chance of dying, I'm trying to do as many as I can bc they can really wipe you out

I assume you need to make sure your army is super powerful so you can defend him if he attacks?

yeah, I was able to neglect investing in my army for a while bit i recently maxed it bc I had extra gold to spend but if you're doing a normal play you need to invest in army first usually or you get invaded and lose

But like for reference my maxed army rn is like 5500 people (and elephants) and I've seen a mongol army over 100k lol so I might not be able to fight if he gets to me anyway, I just don't think he will, a lot of people he'd have to fight first

he can demand things from your bc he's your liege but you still keep everything. Might have to pay a little tax but if you can afford it that's fine. And if your chatacter is good you can just plot to overthrow from the inside
