there's also heaps of money been put into now-useless office buildings that the owners don't want to eat

yeah my last company spent a shit ton to put our logo on the office building for the accounting department even though there were 2 other floors of business in the building...so they were never letting us get out of that office lol

There's a lot of red tape to go through to even sell the buildings too, most aren't allowed to just be converted into apartments or anything. Your only option is hoping someone else wants it for office space
