They're the most passive, you just have to place the hives for a one time cost and they make the honey during every month but winter

You can place windmills and solar panels for passive electricity income as well, the bees are almost the same, they just look way cooler lol I'm currently in March which is prime honey selling time so I'm just moving all the honey they make to my farm shop to sell all month

The bees even make your fields produce more crops if you place them close enough, no idea of the ones in this default farm I started with are close enough to mine tho lol

You should look into being a home bee farmer, it's easy apparently
